Maybe Katarina has better plans for the club than NC had

Tell Luke Shaw's old man that. -
Mature- have you ever been in a job where you've felt personally committed to a manager perhaps because they took a chance with you, helped your development etc. MP's reaction is only human. It's certainly more honorable than jumping ship because some other outfit has offered you more cash.
-
The players will have a better idea what's going on and why NC fell out with the daughter. If they are concerned, there's a decent chance that it's because the daughter doesn't have the same ambitions for the club.

Not ashamed to say it - I like CoC. -
Is it about transfer funds, though? Surely there's a limit to how far he can pull this s**t/play this card if it is. Surely, any professional businessman would have agreed a medium-term budget (well at least one longer than a single window) in the summer in order to head off similar incidents.

Not so sure - get a sense people are desperate for Gaston to do well and hoping for the best.
-
Also won us a pen at Watford and set up Lallana's goal against Barnsley with a good run down the byline.
-
Got an assist up at Stoke iirc. Was very good in the last game he started at Spurs. Have no complaints whatsoever about Guly.

Columbia hands down - the rest is ****

He reffed the shocker up at St James Pk last season.

Not looking forward to the next time we play Chelsea.

£30 million for for Luke Shaw should we take it?

Anyone know how much he's on with us? -

Unless he's tearing it up on the highest stage -internationally and in the CL- both of which are unlikely at Southampton in the short-to-medium term, there will be a limit to how much we can get for him (as opposed to say how much Spurs could get for Bale). £30m might indeed be that limit. -
Come on little fella, you wouldn't want people to like you just for your money.

Don't remember? You were sufficiently interested in my views that you dug up my old posts on JWP - this at a time the mboard was going into overdrive about JWP -some even claiming he had a chance of going to Brazil- and expressing reservations about the lad was seen as heretical. Likewise, when 'people' claimed we would be a better and more solid side without Lallana, I observed that his tracking back and defensive work had come on leaps and bounds and that this was an underrated part of his game. The mboard doesn't lie. Perhaps you don't remember, tho. Can't help if these views become the mainstream, the conventional wisdom
-
Like thinking JWP's a tidy player but still not ready... Remember that one, pal?

You're missing the point (a recurring theme) Cork is better defensively than Davis (never said otherwise) but given WBA's general feebleness (contrast with Chelsea) and Schneiderlin's presence (contrast with Everton), the idea that Cork's sub made a massive difference is b*****ks. They didn't look much better after we scored until they went for broke at the death and played three up top. The only difference it made was that we got a goal and won the game. End of.
-
Neither here or there. At least, we're no longer talking about whether we're a better side without him
-
Don't buy it - West Brom aren't Chelsea (when Cork's absence hurt us more). Remember WBA only really threatened in the last 5 mins or so. Cork was subbed in the 60th odd min. They gambled and threw the kitchen sink at us, leaving big holes (e.g. Ramirez's long break) while the pace/movement of a fresh Vydra and Berahino troubled a tiring side. Cork's sub was a minor factor this time.
-
Cork further forward? Out of those two, Morgan is head and shoulders better attacking-wise.
-
Lost count of the number of times Gaston has cut inside and attempted a reverse pass and it not come off - good to see something similar work for once. Jury still out but want to see him with Osvaldo. Hopefully the return of Vic will embolden MP to go with Ramirez over Davis.
-
Cork played well yesterday but lost the ball in some dangerous positions, artempting to shield and hold players off which would never happen with Vic. Will be good to have him back.
