Glasgow takes a break for the day only for the norfolk nob to pick up the slack.

Another £2m we can extract from the dildo twins for Lambo.

Who are your favourite mediocre England cricketers over the years?
shurlock replied to norwaysaint's topic in General Sports
Devon Malcolm was like a cricketing Michail Antonio. And Devon's 29 against the Aussies in 95 still ranks as one of the most surreal and brilliant innings i've seen (or at least heard on TMS). -
Alas you won't agree with my views of West London
-
Which part of London did you live in - Seven Sisters? North London is arguably the most balanced part of London - within minutes you can be on the Holloway Road/Archway and then in Highgate, two completely different but complementary worlds. By contrast, West London is ponce country, South London is too spread out and East London is too ghettoised where each sticks to his/her own.

And you would be surprised how motivated and energised you are to find a new job if you do quit.

F**k it but make a scene if you're going to walk. I did in one instance, albeit the job was on a contractor basis. More seriously, the fact that you're in Germany should limit any kind of reputational damage unless its a really small world and makes it easy to explain any gaps in your CV should they arise. You wouldn't be the first or last person who hasn't adapted to a new country. Thus, it shows no real weakness or failing on your part. Assuming your skills are in demand (slightly different matter if they're not), it'll be water under the bridge in no time.

If you believe the article, NC doesnt want MP to leave.

The terrors of the high street and urban planning mean that whenever I leave the big smoke, I can't tell whether I'm in Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle, S****horpe, Birmingham or Hull. A few traces of nineteenth century civic pride and the odd postmodern vanity project here and there are all I have to go on. Utterly depressing - no English city should be anywhere near that top 10.

Yep- that handball was worse than the one against Everton.

No chance.

Don't think we've ever won a game reffed by Webb.

And I thought it was Faisal Islam, Channel 4's economic correspondent. Says so much for my socio-cultural references

I have absolutely no interest in what you post. Ever. I only want to know why you have some Asian bloke as your avatar?

Could they? Don't know the ins and outs of the scheme but if you're worried about credit/default risk, you'll always going to cherrypick the safest borrowers -scheme or no scheme. This is less a PR own goal than an unavoidable admission of the scheme's limits. Badging it as a scheme to help middle-class professionals get on the property ladder without mummy or daddy's silver spoon would have, at least, been honest.

Good to see Big Sam is looking to the slick passing game to get them out of trouble. Is he the Ivorian Kevin Francis?

Poor article with little substance. Peeling away all the blindingly obvious statements about needing to win more, the only real point it makes -and one within MP's control- is that we've created two squads within one (if people can be bothered to get that far). Even here, not sure what its driving at: that we lack squad depth? How is that a mistake when we're only into our second season in the prem and it will take time to overhaul a championship squad without a QPR shock-and-awe makeover that has rarely been shown to work? Alternatively, it might mean that MP has demotivated fringe players. How? Not playing them because they're largely dross? Indeed, when he does give them opportunities to get match practice, stake a claim, feel part of the squad e.g. the league cup, he's slaughtered by the simpletons on here - note the irony its the same simpletons who think this article is very good There's a whiff of an attempt to say that MP has been sussed out without any evidence. With the exception of West Brom last year and possibly Swansea this year (which we won), can't think of many, if any games where teams have exposed the flaws of the system. In fact, its held up pretty well against all styles and formations. So we might not finish in the Champions League places but that will only come as a mild surprise to a tiny minority -and to be fair they hoped -rather than expected- it.

While MP has a preference for Osvaldo, he's not been dogmatic in it -first he attempted to accommodate Lambert and Osvaldo and second he had no qualms in dropping Osvaldo in favour of Lambert (clearly suspensions and injuries have also helped). The idea that Lambert doesn't thrive in MP's scheme is also s***e. Lambert may be asked to work harder but the positions he taking up are not significantly different from those under Adkins or Pards. Lambert has always peeled off to the flanks and dropped deep. Arguably the reasons for Lambert's more subdued performances lie with him.
