  1. And very quickly it’s back to Saints keeper and out for a City throw. Just like watching the first team really.
  2. Now third corner. Bragg takes them - not great.
  3. Unfortunately we’re looking nowhere near good enough - far too much pissing around at the back. Saints have a first corner.
  4. Very soft pressing by Saints…sitting deep for the better part.
  5. Now it’s all City and Saints can’t get the ball let alone play out.
  6. And…first attack from City and it’s a goal. Guess why? Yep, mistake playing out from the back. 🤨
  7. At the moment Saints seeing most of the ball and looking good value. Abu has shot off target.
  8. Possession football all round, with our keeper McNamara learning his trade at City.
  9. Apparently the game is being shown on SkySports PL2 channel, however I can’t find it on my streaming platforms.
  10. Even by your standards that’s fucking stupid.
  11. https://www.everton.news/southampton-now-in-talks-to-appoint-former-everton-player-as-their-new-manager/ Uh oh! Is this what Pilchards was talking about??? It would be so SR.
  12. With little else to celebrate this season, I’ve decided to buy a months pass to watch the game tonight…if we’re there in the final we must have a chance of actually winning it, plus it’ll be nice to see some of the young talent we’ve got waiting in the wings to break through into the first team. There’s no other streams available by the looks of it and £4.99 is not too bad for a bit of entertainment. Good luck Saints U21’s! COYR!
  13. This ^. Plus, to be honest I don’t mind Saints being an ‘underdog’ particularly when there is enough about the team to achieve the occasional upset. This season has been so shite, not because of individual games, but because after the first few matches, there’s not one we’ve started where I’ve thought “yep, we’ve got a chance to draw or win here’. They say it’s the hope that kills, but most of this season has seen no hope.
  14. Perhaps he meant twist as in “let’s go, let’s turn the card”? More likely he’s lying at the foot of his spying tree next to the Marchwood bypass, groaning in agony after twisting and falling out. 🤔🙁
  15. I don’t think loans from Man City would be a thing given that they play high possession tactics which Still will not be employing going forwards. More likely to go to Brighton, Bournemouth, Villa or Newcastle - that level.
  16. Just seen a vid on FB feed of the club rolling out THB, Manning and Lallana to make phone calls to the most loyal fans. WTF - can you actually belief the people called were very polite and full of praise and thanks? I was thinking, if Manning phoned me he’d get both barrels, but then I thought hang on, it’s not his fault he’s shite, it’s the fault of the idiot(s) picking him week in week out.
  17. If Still is employed and the window results in key ins and outs then top half. Regardless of Manager, get the player trading wrong and we’re basement fodder.
  18. Oh come on, they’ll be able to cobble together the bus fare needed to get those losers off our books! 🤞
  19. Yeah, I was hoping it be streamed via Saintsplayer - not checked to see yet, but most of this type of thing gets included.
  20. Oops - was sure today was Thursday! 😵‍💫🤭 Thanks for the linkage.
  21. It’s tonight at 8pm vs Man City. Anyone know if it’s being streamed?
  22. Pilchards has fallen out his tree and twisted his neck. In other news, I’m keeping my powder dry on Still until I see what players he’s left with by the end of the window.
  23. Are you seriously suggesting that without our best 5 players we will be at ‘around the same level’ as last season? Don’t think that’s atall obvious as we also lost - in context - better players than we have now (I know this is difficult to comprehend when at the time we thought those players were poor too). The dilution of squad quality over the last 4-5 years is truly shocking and even facing the Championship I would argue it needs significant repair especially if a new style of play is being considered.
  24. If we had a chance to purchase Big Les would you pull the trigger? I would - I think he’s improved over the season and is one of our better midfielders now - as good as or perhaps even better than Downes.
  25. Yeah I think he’s OK as a backup striker as it would appear he’s past the worst of his injury concerns, but we do need better. With one year left and injuries behind him, the club may feel it’s the right time to get some money for him - perhaps a Scottish team would be interested in ‘taking him home’?
