  1. Sadly, who else is there than Wotton? It will be sorted in June for sure.
  2. Anyway. how many local derbies... Exeter Yeovil Brighton Bournemouth Plymouth... Now if only I didn't fecking live in South West London!!!!
  3. You can just be unlucky.
  4. You could be right, maybe it was just bad luck tonight. But it seems odd to me that we can't win without him. It's not him per se, but without him we lack any link up play because the alternatives are not up to it, sadly.
  5. Correct, he is our engine and creativity in midfield. We need to strengthen there, but I'm sure AP knows that. Paul Wotton is not the future...
  6. Takes fecking one to know one!!!
  7. I wondered what he was doing there. Is it his missus or someone from the crowd?
  8. He plays we win, he doesn't we don't. That's a fact. We miss him terribly and need a replacement in the close season - badly!
  9. Did you hear the story of the lads who dug up the wrong motorway slip road... stand up prime suspect Secret Site...
  10. Great, great times. I took all my penalties like this!
  11. My friend thank you. That brought a tear to me eye. The first game I remember being allowed to go to on my own. I stood behind that overhead kick and watched it all the way in... I hope that the young lads today have the same pleassure of watching our team as I had then - magical times, truly magical. We simply played the best football in the league. And I think we do today as well.
  12. This was the best goal I ever saw, ever. And to think today it would have stood.... this is such a great thread. Possibly had the time of my life during this period - not that I begrudge the wife and kids...
  13. It was, on a Friday night. I was 13/14 and in dreamland. And all the peopel in the flats turned their lights on and off to upset Brucie!!
  14. This is a very adept and mature post, Steve. Are you feelin' ok?
  15. He came back to protect his investment and then proceeded to indulge in the most incompetent maladministration of our club in the spurious belief that two Dutch unproven coaches and a group of youth team players could raise us from the dead... He didn't see administration coming of course, because as you say (and I think this is taken as read even by his admirers) of his unswerving belief that his way was the right way. This is the downfall of all dictators in the end.
  16. Incompetence and greed are the words you're looking for.
  17. That is my favourite move/memory of Steve - I used to do that shoulder drop week in and week out, always worked... the old defenders never sussed it! Not used often enough today if you ask me. All I ever wanted to be, Steve Moran was. Great, great memories. I have this image in my head of Keegan lifting him up... And Frank Worthington ambling around with a fag in his mouth, flicking the ball this way and that... what a team, what an era.
  18. My hero too, more than Matt by a long chalk. For those too young, Moran was like Michael Owen in his prime.
  19. What a pity he's Welsh!
  20. Good lad, great player. Nice that he is finally making his mark at Spuds. Shame he's playing for them, but good to see the boy doing well anyway.
  21. I hope we let him decide, he seems to be doing an adequate job... despite some people believing he is 'negative'. What was that goal difference again?
