That's a good question. I think our biggest problem is that we are being asked for trust and faith from an organisation and group of people who have abused both in spades for far too long. That we have a short fuse now, is no more than could be expected.

While I agree with the sentiment, if my aunt had nackers she would be my uncle. What we should be seeing is as hard working outfit, motivated and losing because they lack ability. Or preferably, winning. Not too much to ask?
-
so he's made Brentford a must-win game. lol
-
100% right. These players might not have been able to beat Wolves. Swindon? They should be wipping their arses in their fecking sleep.
-
now that would be a mystery. Where is Sherlock? Not sh!tting obviously.

I know, but FFS, every other club seems to issue rallying calls and then someone respond to them - ie. on the pitch not on a forum

At a time when all of us are having to work twice as hard for a third of the result, all I ask is that I see my team give their all. If that is insufficient, so be it. If that is not in evidence, you can take my gate income and shove it where the sun don't shine, because it's too hard to come by these days. I really mean it. Talk is cheap - it's worthless actually - whereas hunger, desire and effort are free to give but priceless.

Swindon 1 v Saints 0 Post-Match Reaction

Hard as it is to take, Pardew must be given some time to turn this around. We know the players are not that good, HE has to find out, assess what needs to be done and fix it. Whatever happened at Charlton is irrelevant. It's not Pardew's fault he wasn't employed until the close season was over. -
It's time to stop. Premiership: Rousing player article on OS. Abject performance. Apologetic chance to change article on OS. Abject performance. Championship: Rousing player article on OS. Abject performance. Apologetic chance to change article on OS. Abject performance. League One: Rousing player article on OS. Abject performance. Apologetic chance to change article on OS. Abject performance. League Two??? Let's do something different shall we? How about a media-lock-down? How about a little less hot air and a bit more HARD WORK. How about GRAFTING until the skin is raw and the muscles cry enough? How about we break the cycle of bullsh!t which still infests members of our team who seem to have forgotten the basics of football? We should expect change to take time. We've had five years of abject performances. But to CHANGE, things have to CHANGE. Let's start with something rare as rocking horse excrement. Some fecking honesty from the people who ultimately decide whether we win or lose. The players.

our best performances last season all featured Holmes, Morgan and Gillet. Holmes tore Birmingham apart - twice - and was the only bloke (wth James occasionally) who could hit a ball into the box and find the bloke he was aiming for!!!!!
-
old fashioned wingers seem so rare these days! Holmes could do well when fit, James has a superb cross. Lallana is an enigma for me. Looked like a young Gerrard in flashes before his injury last season, has looked like a side-show since.

They will be taken over and survive. We will scrape survival in this league by a whisker. And we'll still be three leagues below them.
-
Hopefully, AP is only too aware of this. Pace and width have been missing from our team for years and yet they kill teams at this level - at every level in fact!!!
-
I'm not panicking. Five years is hardly knee jerk
-
Every season should be about one thing only - winning the next game. If you simply set out to win every game you will end up higher in the league than if you target 'survival' or 'mid-table' or 'safety'. This is all about mental attitude. I agree that mid-table would not be a disaster. We should aim for better.

Lambert is a brilliant signing. Davis is a brilliant keeper. Between them is a heap of mush - a rag-tag of some talent and a bit of experience. We need urgently - and have for FIVE FECKING YEARS. A MIDFIELD GENERAL. TWO STEELY CENTRE BACKS. This information is provided free for the benefit of Nicola Cortese. Don't worry you haven't spotted it yet. I've been suffering this boll0x since 2004. Plus ca change...

maybe it's now, you're only as good as your penultimate result...
