Spot on. There are physical players and lightweight players in every league. It's a question of whether the player wants to stand up and be counted and apply his talent by being STRONGER. This is not about being Terry Hurlock but about having the skill and strength of Steven Gerrard - I don't hear anyone calling him lightweight but then he probably had to fight his old man to get in after school... whereas Morgan was greeted by Mama with a nice Chardonnay...

With regards to Mr Le Tissier's England career, the facts are these. He was told to play in a B International against Russia and prove his international class prior to selection for the World Cup squad. He scored a hatrick. In his place in the World Cup Squad, Mr Hoddle selected... David Batty. Mr Batty missed the penalty which cost England any chance of winning the World Cup. Mr Le Tissier watched the game at home, where his 99% penalty record was of no use to man nor beast. From this one can draw three conclusions: 1. Mr Le Tissier did what was asked to further his international career but found Mr Hoddle wanting in honesty. 2. Mr Le Tissier is probably too polite and too content with his own life to dwell on Mr Hoddle's dishonesty and ignorance. 3. Nineteen Canteen clearly missed this entire period, otherwise he would know that the fault for Mr Le Tissier not having more England caps - potentially even winning us the World Cup - vests with Mr Hoddle and not Mr Le Tissier. I am at pains to keep this objective and removed of emotion because of the sensitivities involved in dealeing with Nineteen Canteen. But I hope this statement of facts will set the matter to rest for all concerned.

Norwich did not try to run a football team playing Dutch football with reserve players and their youth team though did they? Nor have they been in freefall for five years, appointed a rugby coach to oversee training, fired their only successful manager and then employed Coco the Clown... Before we turn around our team, we need to remember how deep the rot truly was!!

We're not talking about turning around one bad result tho are we? We're talking about rebuilding a club - from the ground up - after five years of total anhilation.

Look, Charlton appointed Phil Parkinson. He went something like 20 games without a win. Most Charlton fans accepted that it would take time to rebuild. It took a relegation too. NOW Parkinson is winning. Pardew has 16 odd games to go to be as bad as Parkinson!!!!

I'm not burying my head in the sand. We have some crap footballers. Worse, they are crap MENTALLY. That's what we need to fix. Either them or ditch them and get in some players who can cut it!!! The point is that yesterday was not about one big club versus a little one. It was about 11 v 11 and their 11 are on a high after promotion and we're on a low after relegation. I agree that we should be taking advantage of being a 'bigger' club but it means nothing. And this idea we should win by dint of size is cobblers. We should win because our players are better or work harder or both. I agree with you, it't not good enough yet.

Er, you missed the 20 games they went without a win when Parkinson was appointed?? They actually started winning at the back end of last season. And we didn't!!
