  1. I agree with you 100% Tim. But we are asking too much of some of our players. Some will simply never be good enough - mentally, especially. The vast majority are not good enough yet. The ones that are, are tired and being overplayed. It would be great to bring Gobern or Smith on for 20 minutes when we're 2-0 up and let then have a real go. That said, I deplore people on here slagging them off. Anyone who thinks they are not trying doesn't understand sportsmen.
  2. People forget that many of the lads are used to playing about ten-twenty games in total in a season. And even then, very few play all of them. And two games in three days, no chance... Now, I know people will say, it's only football - we do real jobs, etc. But these guys are professional athletes. You wouldn't take Steve Cram and start him off running three miles a week for a year or so and then ask him to run from Paris to Dakar, twice a week!!! WE have to get more experienced heads in. People who are used to this league but still hungry and keen - and obviously cheap until the cretin is eliminated!!!
  3. Very, very valid. This must be how they are being set up and prepared. I think they actually just think they can play their way to victory.
  4. They could well be, but too many of them are playing too soon. You can't blame them for that. As Steve Claridge says, we're probably doing some of them more harm than good. Imagine a Gobern being handled like Walcott is? Or Smith? Or Patterson... Kids need to be brought through into a settled confident side, not relied on to bale us out of the crap. Of all the people at our club, I feel most sympathy with some young players who could well be having their careers put back years, if not destroyed.
  5. Including both of those you're no fan of!!
  6. Who gives a t0ss?? WE need to sort out OUR mess. Loads of teams played better than us today and yesterday.
  7. Agree 100%. I think the problem is that if you pay peanuts... ooo ooo ah ah and all that...
  8. Forest changed their manager? Did I miss us doing that?
  9. Irrelavant comparison. Age of Gillingham team? Experience? Manager? Situation?? We are poor. Have been all season bar two/three performances. We we as good today as we have been. Not very. We need change. A win today would have been great, and would have been lauded. By the same people who say we need a change of manager and Chairman. So let's have some consistency eh?
  10. On that we agree. We are poor. That needs sorting quick.
  11. Because people are being naive if they expected a poor team to compete against the World Champions, European Cup Holders and League Winners. Happy now?
  12. So would I. I was merely pointing out that Holloway would do a better job than the incumbent. As to what he achieved, asked Dell Days why Plymouth are where they are now.
  13. But we are no good going forward. And suddenly today you thought what? That Henry and Ronaldo had been granted a wish like Tom Hanks in Big??
  14. After everything Holloway said today, I would take him tomorrow. He saw all our problems from the off and was spot on in his assessment - no shape, no organisation.
  15. Because we have been doing that so well all season? We are toothless in the Championship but you expected BETTER against the World Champions.
  16. We don't and that's the worrying thing. Young lads are too tired and shows our over-reliance on them. Earlier in the season we were so much quicker. Although we irritatingly turn around too much when on the attack!!! Why, who knows??!!
  17. Foot high, took the ball and went through onto the man. 50-50 yellow or red. Not clever and easily could be a red. But a half-decent ref might have taken him to one side, had a blood good talk to him and shown him a yellow - especially in the third round of the FA Cup. And I would have said the same if a United player had done it. The fact so many pundits are debating it ways it was a 50-50. Although Spoony the United fan thinks it was a red - quel surprise... It's football - feet get high sometimes.
  18. Are you really that stupid or do you have to work at it? I know that he isn't that good. That's why he is here and cost NOTHING. I'm sorry, should I be expecting Theirry Henry on a free from Milwall?? FFS - get a grip man. He did what he could with what he could. But go ahead. Blame him for the fact that we are in the cr4p with no money and a Chairman who is a clown. Jees - excuse me. I'm off to a site where everyone has already had a frontal labotamy to get a bit more sense...
  19. It wasn't a two-footed lunge. Get your eyes seen to.
  20. 2 feet off the ground? Get yourself down to specsavers.
  21. He was alright today. Little service, did what he could. Showed a couple of lovely touches and then got too excited having run rings around the United defence. He's young. Some of you don't appear to have reached his age mentally yet.
  22. Actually we are one goal and one man better than the last time we played United in the Cup at home when in the Premiership.
  23. Guys - we have been outplayed by a team worth over ONE HUNDRED TIMES what ours is worth. Give them a break you t0ssers.
