I am no fan of the way this club has been run, nor by whom. I am a fan of a coach who is prepared to come out and face down his critics - to talk to them, engage with them, listen to them and explain his thinking. Do you know what? I actually think we have a coach who wants to build something, to succeed and for a change isn't just thinking about how he can be the next manager of Newcastle. He's earned my respect and I don't give it lightly. It's a shame that people think football is so bloody easy he can simply move a bloke from left wing to centre midfield and then we'll win. As though somehow that would make DMG into Zinidine Zidane... But maybe I judge people not by their results but by their actions. Call me old fashioned. I see the banks got great results for years...

I would say that we've had games where he has changed things and got no credit for it. We've also had games where he's changed things and got slated for it. Give the bloke a break. He's created the most flexible approach we've ever had as a club. Once the players get more experienced we might actually see just how good. I don't recall Beattie coming back and making a saving tackle like Lallana did with two minutes to go against Reading. For pete's sake. We put out 11 players nearly every week who play for their shirts! Do you know how long I've waited to see that - five bloody years!!!!!!!

Not inidvidual errors. Not having very good footballers because we have no money. Ever strike you funny that Chelsea, United, Arsenal and Liverpool do quite well becuase they pay people £100 grand a week. Guess what? We don't... Shock, better footballers are better players... Playing an exciting brand of attacking football do keep up!

That is exactly what I thought, on my way home from Cardiff and Bucharest... What has happened in Southampton? Has the population been superceded by goldfish? Thank God I live in London these days where they have Boris to watch out for those piscean invasions...

These are not inidividual mistakes and there is only a malaise in the mind of some fans - not mine. These are the qualities of players we have. People bang on about our system costing us results. Cobblers. Missing one on ones and being not that good is costing us results. Anyone who bothers watching can see that. I haven't sat through a game this season and thought, if we went 4-4-2 we would be murdering this lot. I have seen us miss chances, fail to beat the first man at a corner (Skacel/Surman and others), fail to clear the ball quickly enough and so on. That, to me, is because, we don't have the playing talent - yet! They are inconsistent and young.

When old son, I buy the club (I have targeted 2020) and then install myself as manager cum Chairman to feck the lot of you off!!!

Tell me what formation will ensure that DMG scores when through on goal? Or that Lallana won't scuff his shots. Or that Perry could run faster. Or that would make Kelvin come for a corner? Or James stay goal-side. Or BWP pull the trigger rather than take a touch... That's my problem.

That is a brilliant idea. There's no way I can persuade the missus to let me lash out a monkey in April - July, but half a monkey I might be able to swing or slip through without her noticing...

I am convinced that this is partly confidence and partly the natureof the people we have playing up front! They're not powerful players and they like to place the ball into the net. Having said that, I could have buried some of the one-on-ones we've missed this season. That has to be confidence!!
