Administration is the ONLY way to break this downward spiral

I find it despicable that people who haven't put a bean into this club want it wound up and plummeted a division by guarantee. I use this word rarely, but what a bunch of c u n t s. Right now we have a chance of survival and riding out a few years before the economy turns and someone buys us. Or we can go bust now, allow anyone (Lowe, Wilde) to buy us for nothing. Or simply go out of existence. I'll settle for an ugly sh4g rather than having my balls ripped off thanks. -
I have every sympathy with this view my old son - I was there, and the week before and the one before that. We are better fans than some. But those other fans are disillusioned and disheartened. Fecking hell, I had to persuade my mum to let me bunk off part of her Xmas party to get to the Reading home game and miss half my family I only see once a year - and you know what, I rang her last night and said, forget it. I'll be there with the cheese and pineapple on sticks and seeing my little nieces, nephews and what have you. Why? Because none of them kicks me in the nuts and sticks their hands in my pocket while doing it. If we'd given everything yesterday and got dicked 4-0 - I would have gone home happy, really I would. And some little git coming out and saying 'it was one of those days' just shows him up to be one of those players who ain't gonna make it. They MUST accept responsibility, shut their mouths, get on the training ground, work their fecking nuts off over Xmas and SHOW us that they are a football team. Not the rejects from the chorus line of the Bolshoi!!!

Precisely. And some of the players won't ever be good enough because they have the technical skill but not the mental strength. And they way you build mental strength is to introduce players gradually like Wnger has with Theo!! Not as we have done, to cast them into the Lion's den. Rupert does not understand this. He has no grasp of the reality of training young footballers and making them professionals. He sees a winning Academy and thinks this can be transferred to the first team wholesale. While I agree with his philosophy - it is the RIGHT one. We do need to be self-sufficient and we do need more reliance oh hom grown talen. He has gone about this badly.
-
And this is how it starts... PR people start to question his confidence and ability. The leak a story to SKY with rehashed quotations taken out of context which make him look a fool. Fans turn on the coach, conveniently overlooking that he is a simple symptom of the club's position. Then the chairman acts (Wilde, not Lowe) to say they were bowing to results and fan pressure. And they change coach. And they're off the hook for another six months. And we're no better off, probably worse...
-
He changed the formation three/four times during the game. The problem is do the players know what they are doing? Which comes down to: 1) ineffective explanation 2) inefective motivation 3) ineffective coaching 4) players who are not very good. The reality is a mix of all the above. WE cannot expect to appoint a new coach and to see this team string a series of wins together. Many of the players are simply not ready. Some are simply not good enough - none are good enough to form the nucleus of a team. For both coach and team we are paying peanuts. We are reaping the result of that. To remove Poortvliet serves no purpose. The system will NOT change. The reliance on youth will NOT change. You will simply have Wotte, the new bloke or Hockaday in charge. This is Rupert's vision. He does not appreciate these kids are mentally and physically tired. They are not up to it yet.

The team are not playing passing football anymore.

I am 150% with you there old son. I feel exactly the same. Today was, as my mate from Sheffield would say, bobbins. -
Agreed.
-
Good question right sider. Also, what investment is available in the playing side? And does Rupert now accept some of our kids are not ready yet and may never be!!

Exactly. Nothing wrong with the tactics today - it was beyond that. They simply did nothing. Maybe credit to Forest but they did look poor. And we just looked dishevelled. -
Apologists? Deafening silence tonight !

Aint that the truth. Felt sorry for DMG - we should NEVER cheer a player off, EVER!!! But he should not be playing. He is awful at the moment. Dog awful. James was back to being one of the Commitments - committed himself early all the time. Lallana must think he's the Christmas fairy - his corners were pathetic. My daughters could kick it further - in their ballet shoes. Skacel was already thinking about Christmas in Riga with Borat. Holmes actually was ok but tired - fair enough. Who elae played? Who cares.... -

DD, they were all over the firking shop. Never mind 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-4-2 - people were singing for 4-4-2 and we were bloody playing it!!!!!! We were just bloody inept. Seriously, I could have gone on wearing my Loakes and done a better job. Only KD emerges with any credit. Oh and the bloke who chipped him from 40 yards - best goal at SMS that I've seen. -

Nothing can apologise for that gutless, clueless, spineless excuse of a display. It is now time for the manager and players to shut up - stop giving us bullsh!t and get on with just working their firking socks off to get us out of the sh!t they have now dropped us in. God knows what happened today. I just don't think these kids have got it mentally yet. Any time they are under pressure, they can't cut it - when there is no chance, they are brilliant. At least we should beat Man United on this basis!! But otherwise, not 'one of those days' but a total absence of passion and guts. Unforgiveable. The players owe everyone an apology and that starts not with some sh!t on the OS but by giving their all and getting a win at Plymouth. Anything else shows that they are masquerading as professional footballers. -
Agreed, that and Surman's shot the only things I applauded today.

... you've got some explaning to do. Come on here and be a man. You chicken.

The minute Burley left, we should have appointed Davies and tomorrow we would be looking forward to tonking Fulham or Blackburn... Last year, this league was pants, absolute pants. It was there to be won. This year, Wolves, Birmingham and Reading are different sorbet, really they are - consistent, effective and all three are up now in my book. Last year, everyone was ****** and anyone could have gone up. Bloody Crouch I blame for not begging Davies to take over. As for Davies doing badly with Derby in the Premiership?? Not given any money and still did better than Jewell the porn-star!!! Seriously, why is BD still out of work?
-
Seriously, if he misses one tomorrow, I will shoot HIM!!!

Do you have any confidence in Poortvliet?

But that's like asking a turkey to vote for Xmas if you were expecting Rupert to pick an old fashioned manager who wants control over such things!!!
