Well, like I said earlier, Lambert is clinical infront of goal, so is J Rod, our issue is creating chances in the final third, how often do we get ANY chances in the box this season ? Except for headers ? Sharp wont change that, Id rather the cash for a new decent wide man to compliment what we have, CB or GK

Im not saying he isnt as good as people are saying Im saying Ronaldo is a better player then the credit given to him. Goalscoring is always a difficult one too, Beattie scored shed loads for us, but largely because of the way he plays and not because of any real ability, dont get me wrong he was ok but nothing special. Personally I just think all round, looking at the player and just the player Im more impressed by Ronaldos mark on a game then Messi, as with Messi its usually the peak of a brilliant Barca move, where as Ronaldo its often something born from his brilliance. This takes nothing away from Messi, and Im not going through any 'great lengths' Im just looking at two players, who are IMO the two best players ever, and saying overall I think Ronaldo is better.

They play a sort of four four two though, I just dont think he is the man, why he hasnt given J Rod more game time as an actual striker I dont know.

Honestly ? I reckon we will get hammered by stoke. And our team as it is ? I cant see anything that coukd answer their blunt physicality. Seeing how Lambert has played against taller defenders this season though Id be inclined to go with J Rod

Sharp isnt the answer, Lambert is slow and not up for it but atleast he can win a few headers etc Lambert is as good as Sharp at poaching but has more about his game and fits the system better. So... If Lambert isnt working, how the hell will Sharp work ? Just because he is scoring goals doesnt mean he will suddenly do it in the prem, he scored goals last year. We need a decent GK, decent wide man, decent CB and if anything is left look at perhaps a new CF and CM.

Meh He has always done well in the champ ? Whats changed ? He did well last year and deemed not good enough so we let him go ? He is only doing what he has always done, our problem is a lack of creativity in forward positions, he wont change that and doesnt possess Mayuka's pace who now after one start is the new whipping boy (no surprise there) Cash in on Billy, someone told me we wouldnt get 5m, I think we could. Im not sure its that straightforward, as I said before Messi's brilliance is exaggerated by the fact that the Barca team is soo good, certainly compared even to Madrid. Its all there for Messi, and my point being if Ronaldo and Messi swapped clubs we would be hailing Ronaldos brilliance, perhaps his arrogance doesnt help his cause either. Put it this way, Messi has never really shone as brightly for the argies, a team in which he is more an individual then a cohesive unit with him the focus, this is in contrast to Ronaldos displays at portugal and madrid, when he drags a team up to his standards. One thing is for sure though, we are seeing probably two of the best players ever, there is certainly nobody I have seen in the prem of his quality, and Messi's record is exceptional.

Its just people posturing I believe, there were a few bits off info from the training ground coming out at the beginning of his assesment, then there seemed to be a lockdown, you are going to get info coming out though, people around him know, the players probably know. The problem with comparing the two is ultimately because Barca make Messi that extra bit better, if you know what I mean ? Barca build the team around Messi and he is the hub, they are the best team in the world for a reason, their movement and passing is sublime and this comes from years of playing together as the same cohesive unit. Ronaldo plays for Real who instead of being a quality team are more a collection of quality players, and yes his workrate isnt as good but his skill with a ball at his feet, and physical attributes are better, also I dont see how his arrogance should affect the way we Look at his ability in general

Honestly believe Ronaldo is a better all round player, and if there positions were swapped and he wasnt such a pr?ck then he would be the one regarded as the better player. Better technique, flair and strength. All IMHO of course

To me when he strikes the ball he is looking at RVP the whole time, he has struck it with his laces and TBH had no need to smash it clear, and lets face it he isnt going to come out afterwards and say he meant it is he ?
