  1. It was more than just Adkins but yeah he did well, if it was the summer I would agree with the change, I just cant now though
  2. Is it wrong that Im getting pains there ?
  3. Its pretty obvious to most with a braincell
  4. Arent they to stop people parking there and going shopping ? Doesnt bother me as I just park in the sub and take the 2 minute walk but parking charges is more than a little petty to get your knickers in a twist tbh
  5. Despite agreeing in the main to what you have written here I am still thinking that this is a real mistake from Cortese right now, my sad feelings for Nige have started to subside and I realise that I was horrified by his sacking because of the man as a person and not necessarily from a managerial POV, he did well enough with cash in lower leagues but the prem is a different beast. That said, if it was progression that NC wanted, why now ? Why not wait ? Surely summer would be the right time ? For me its a gamble that could backfire right now, and I dont think NC is silly enough to gamble so much for survival, it could be three things in my eyes. 1. Adkins knew the writing was on the wall, started looking for jobs etc (not likely) 2. Poch was high on his list, he got tired of waiting for bad results (excuses) and told NC to put up or shut up. 3. A new signing, big name, but would only come with a new man (coutinho) We will see
  6. NC has sacked managers before and now put the club in a position that should we even get relegated we stand to rake in 90 million. Has seen us go from the depths for a cost of 15m to the prem in 3 years. He has sacked managers before, sold popular players. So ask yourself, from the leibherrs point of view is he really doing a bad job ? I have a problem as we are viewed negatively, he acts with little respect and 'this' decision 'could' cost us prem survival but on the whole he is a success. So whats your point ?
  7. You ok poppet ? Theres places you can go and people who will listen you know ?
  8. Getting a bit rediculous and slightly tinpot now TBH
  9. The Telegraph one is good, the Guardian one is poor, this one is also good http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21084754
  10. Meh, Reed is good at what he does, the academy, technical side etc Cortese is good at being a hard nosed negotiator. The guy identifying the targets though is mitchell and his team, a team you need to give credit to NC and LD for setting up as I think they have made good signings so far (the ones they have). You are missing the point though by just ignoring whats actually going on through your anger at Cortese and everyones hate figure Reed. The important thing is the whole club needs to work together, not have a manager and committee fragmented.
  11. All in all I would say the Mirror are the paper who footballing wise, if the reports about us are anything to go by have their finger on the pulse more than others right now
  12. Dunno, I think Pochi knew, I certainly hope he did but in a way it makes the Adkins situation worse, identifying targets behind his back is frankly insulting if it were just the committee let alone the new man too. Problem I have though, honestly, is as much as I disagree with not involving the manager how can you argue with Ramirez, Forren and how Yoshi has turned out, you can imagine it... NC - here is your new player Manager - you signed another one ?! Who ? Where does he play ! You bunch of c.... Oh, he aint bad.... Im sure i can fit him in
  13. Dunno if it is a case of malleability of not TBH hopefully he trusts the new man enough to listen to his input, but that leads me to say, if that were the case ? Why wait til Jan ?
  14. It even seems worse than that though, its crazy. It was as if the committee who I imagine was Cortese, Reed and Mitchell (as I cant imagine Reed or Nicki having the grey matter to identify targets such as Clyne, Ramirez, Yoshi, which on the plus side means we could have a decent scout here) signed whoever they wanted but ALSO they let Adkins do it aswell ?!? Surely it was one or the other FFS ? Apologees BTW, I had asked many times whether Adkins was involved in transfers and always met with a yes V reliable source, which leads me to say what a man Adkins was as he obv kept this under wraps
  15. You know me Lets just hope the new guy is involved and can use some of his contacts. Aswell as the 'committee' signing players to fill the positions we need.
  16. This for me shows that we DO need a committee but it HAS to involve the manager. I am a staunch believer in the committee but everyone needs to pull the same way. This for me shows that A. Adkins probably didnt have his finger on the pulse recruitment wise, some of his signings (forte) werent good enough etc B. A committee HAS to involve the manager as ultimately he has to utilise the players
  17. As I said in the summer and this window, Saints going for targets out of reach. This is shocking if true though, but fair play to Adkins he kept it from coming out, certainly wasnt well known
  18. You going to be ok ?? I suppose itll probably get more up market TBH
  19. As long as it stops bloody snowing
  20. Youf ignoring his first three years there supposedly ? I agree sacking of Adkins was harsh but lets not write of the new guy before he has even started FFS
  21. Edit Just read it, that is a crazy crazy thing to say I thought it was this morning though but obv it was at the end of the season
