  1. Yeah… the league record is 16m, and we’re going to spend 20m+ on a striker to go alongside the other 4/5 we have on the books…..
  2. Id make her climb down from her transfer expectations
  3. Charles and Fraser have probably been our best players tbf
  4. I was with him FWIW I’ve been going back and forth on it, but if we aren’t able to win games with Azaz, Fellows, Robinson/Scienza plus one of Downs/Stewart/Archer then frankly its been a shit show
  5. We can’t say anything for certain Leeds bought Piroe, a guy we desperately wanted on the forum due to his form for Swansea, he was average at best that year, I remember them moaning about it Point is… even if we buy a known entity it could still go wrong Don’t get me wrong, should Sargeant be available for sub 15m Id go for it, although, it will cause us squad issues and issues next year, the more we spend now, the less we have later…. I think Archer and Stewart is enough given a run of games and I do see something in Downs
  6. Yes we do Downs, Archer and Stewart are more than enough
  7. Alfie tends to be like Athletic, gets a lot of info but only reports when he is confident Where as the likes of Crook who obviously want engagement just report a fart on the training ground if it’s directed in another teams direction
  8. We surely aren’t signing Ikone or Guilivogui… where are they going to fit if we still have Fraser and Robinson ?
  9. Ill be honest… I don’t think getting Dibling or Fernandes out of the door would of necessarily accelerated our purchases of Fellows or Azaz tbh Boro or WBA probably don’t operate much differently to us, attempting to hold onto our best players until alternatives are lined up Pretty telling, atleast in Fellows case, that it was reported that we got in contact with WBA a litre while and the fact cogs are only moving now sort of highlights what was said originally around clubs securing other targets, or, waiting for other interested parties first As for Azaz, I think its because we were given good indication from Spertsyans reps that it was moving, such is football finance… my… ‘guess’ is we enquired about Rudoni, told no, then moved to Azaz unless we enquired simultaneously Think Fellows was a separate deal entirely Edit - Just to add, and Ive said it before in here, due to my dealings past and present around the club I have been able to go to a few matches in the directors box over the last 36 months (my contacts gone now unfortunately) and have potentially met the same person as mentioned above…. Didn’t win me over I have to admit
  10. Farmer saint is going to lose his shit
  11. Personally wouldn’t want to see Archer leave, I think he’s our best finisher Conversely though, we just have far too many in that position so can absolutely see it
  12. Tbh if thats the truth then it makes the sale easier to accept Ok, still hurts, but its players being twats and in a world of PSR regulations we can’t afford to argue with 30m profit
  13. Football transfers are pretty all over the place these days but Id suggest deal aggree’d with club and likely close with player
  14. Apparently Fellows is the ‘3rd medical’ we have lined up according to Alfie
  15. Yeah 10m is a very impressive fee
  16. That would more than excite me
  17. Doubt it, he’s at Sy Marys
  18. Don’t give me hope
  19. People seem to forget we’re a Champ team these days That said we were arguably a champ team last year too
  20. This ones a bit of an odd one to me, surely we can’t carry 5 5 senior CBs unless we’re committing to 5 atb
  21. Am I the only one that thinks Guilavogui looks decent for the fee ?
  22. Anyone who thought we’d get 75m wasn’t being serious
  23. Pretty much how I see it after getting over my initial anger, he doesn’t really fit the system as much as I thought he would, and if he wants out I guess take the money and move on The squad should be enough to be promoted imo, especially when viewed against other teams at this level I ‘guess’ the sales keep the wolves from the door and allow us a last crack of the whip next year if the worst happens Still disappointing of course but this is what relegation gets you… shows how disastrous our last two prem campaigns have been
