I don't get this nothing has come out from our club it's still all media speculation and anouncements from other parties maybe it was almost agreed maybe its was agreed but if the manageer has not signed and we have not announced it, it has not yet happened, if a company offered you a job would you tell every one at your old work and resign before either a written offer letter or you had signed a contract, I wouldn't , looks like the S****horpe chairman just jumped the gun on announcing it, maybe he did it to **** us off and scupper the deal so he could keep his manager and still look good.

I know he's just fishing to get the job but it is nice to hear good things about our club for a change, would not be disappointed if he was manager

So the general gist is no one really knows who we're going to get, most of us were perfectly happy with Pardew when he was released or what ever, but we have to have someone who is better than Pardew

I thought he also said that the first team players missing would play against Reading

I agree that it is frustrating having to wait and that we want the signings as soon as possible so that they can gel in to the team prior to the begining of the season but I don't think we need to start getting upset about it yet, would feel a little different if we have not signed anyone else in a couple of weeks

Glad to see him gone and will be glad to see some more in but doesn't the fact that we have not signed anyone other than Dickinson just meen that our targets are still in contract elsewhere and we cant sign them until the window open properly on 1st of July

What happens if the winding up order goes through and pompey cease to exist and there are only 2 teams relegated.

I'm fairly sure that the inland revenue have given away their right to first call on any assets for payment in full and only count along side any other creditors when administration is called but PFC are worse than that if the winding up order goes through they just cease to exist, this is considerably worse than we were, and much though it's nice that the shoe is on the other foot I'm not sure I really want them to disappear altogether.

I have to say that most seasons i am usually quite optimistic but the pre-season seems to have gone really well this year and we seem to be playing as a team not as a group of individuals. I dont want to be over confident but we might get mid table and with a bit of luck the play off's.
