  1. He's retired from refereeing but is still doing VAR. After the Villa/Man United game debacles with us and then the West Brom v Brighton free-kick goal incident he should be nowhere near the Premier League.
  2. Tino did have strapping on his left calf on Friday night so it may be linked to that.
  3. Great attitude to have that's he happy to drop down to get some minutes. I do wonder if it will eventually lead to us loaning him out in January if he's still not broken in to the first X1, although I hope it doesn't come to that.
  4. Apparently their record is 7 wins in 30 which isn't too dissimilar to ours over the course of the calendar year. If I was Ralph, I'd be looking to target the left side of their defence - Targett and Mings. They've looked all over the shop this season and Tino, hopefully accompanied by S.Armstrong, can certainly get at them and cause them no end of problems.
  5. Friday night under the lights at St Mary's, on TV, when all is pointing to a home win. We know how this ends....
  6. Deserved win even if it should have been more. Adams only seems to score the spectacular and Armstrong seems of the same ilk with the amount of efforts he has from outside the area! The two full-backs were outstanding. Usually when KWP is on the left we lose a bit of balance and don't attack well down that side but he gave Ngakia a horrid time. Performances at a decent enough standard, just need to be more clinical. Watford were piss poor and with their upcoming run of fixtures, I'd be amazed if they're not in the bottom three soon enough.
  7. SURELY giving S.Armstrong the captaincy last night is an indication that he's going to play an important (starting) role going forward. If the manager plays Walcott over him again I'll go f*cking loopy. It won't be this, but I'd like to see: ---------------Forster------------- -Liv-----Lyanco---Salisu--Perraud- -SArm---Diallo----Romeu--Djenepo- ----------Broja---AArm------------
  8. Dropping Djenepo for Walcott was moronic, just when the former and Perraud had started building a semi-decent understanding/partnership down that flank. Subs too late yet again. How many times over the years does the opposition manager, especially Dyche, make the first move before Ralph when a game is in the balance? 4 points ahead of them but should have been six. Unfortunately though, we’re going to have to accept this lower-mid table medioricity whilst we have only 1 out of 5 good enough players in the 10 role who can’t finish/create enough, a CB (Bednarek) that continues to get bullied off the ball, a goalkeeper that concedes far too many soft goals/can’t kick a ball straight, a manager who’s game management is piss poor and an owner who won’t invest so that we don’t have to accept any of the above as the best we can get. On the plus side, if Livramento keeps up his current form to the end of the season we’ll be looking at £40m at least for him. What a player.
  9. Djenepo does have some positives about his game but Walcott is horrific. Seems like he’s been given a 2 year contract on 70k a week because he used to play for us and is ‘good around the dressing room’ as ability wise, he’s League One level.
  10. Both Lukaku and Werner injured for Chelsea tonight and out for a few weeks. A boost for our League Cup game there next week.
  11. Looks like it's actually not going to rain on Saturday for the first time in the history of man when playing Burnley.
  12. The main reason he is in the team is his off-the-ball work. Other than that, he’s hugely frustrating. I’d bring Armstrong in for him next week but keep it the same other than that.
  13. Both times they played us last season they went 3 at the back to counter us playing 2 strikers so I suspect they'll do the same again with Struijk in as a third CB and Shackleton dropping out. All on our own team selection for me which no doubt the manager will get wrong. Don't have a problem with Tella dropping out, as long as S.Armstrong comes in and we don't see Redmond or Walcott. ------------------AMac---------------- ---KWP---Bednarek--Salisu---Perraud-- --S.Arm---Diallo----Romeu----Djenepo-- ---------Armstrong---Broja--------------
  14. Lee Mason on VAR on Saturday. Doomed.
  15. Djenepo. He's frustrating as anything, his end product is poor and he is a yellow card machine but at least he actually takes people on and commits defenders even if nothing comes from it 95% of the time. Redmond when he has no confidence is a waste of space. Moi is far too slow for the division. Walcott is no different to Shane Long. About League One standard from a technical standpoint but can run fast and is 'good around the dressing room', which was apparently enough for a two year contract in both cases on ridiculous wages.
  16. Just bought a house in Winchester because he fancies a 400+ mile commute?
  17. Well it was, considering Valery was the only cover.
  18. Truth is, without Stuart Armstrong we create little to nothing. Redmond, Elyounoussi and Djenepo are not good enough for this level. The former two slow the game down too much and the latter has no end product once he skips past a man. As a collective unit we lack belief in front of our own fans and wouldn't surprise me at all if we ended up with more points on the road than at home because our style (whatever it actually is) seems to suit it much more. Added in that our set-pieces have been terrible for ages now and it's little wonder we aren't much of a goal threat. Ruling next weekend out as pretty much a non-starter, if we don't get at least 4 points in the home double header v Leeds and Burnley then we're in big trouble.
  19. It's hilarious how insecure you are.
  20. How on earth can that fat fuck Jon Moss think that’s not a penalty after looking at it again? Another one that shouldn’t be anywhere near a Premier League game.
  21. One game at a time. We’re capable of beating anyone in the league on our day (which we’ve proven several times now) but also capable of losing to anyone in embarrassingly bad fashion. Let’s get through the cup game in midweek and then go from there because, let’s be honest, we’ve our best strength in depth for years now to actually make a decent run a cup competition so shouldn’t dismiss that.
  22. Needs to improve his forward passing but he looks a top player. Composed, good in the air/one on one battles for the ball and a real calming influence. Had Antonio in his pocket all game, until he switched over to be on Stephens’ side who equally dealt with him well. Yellow card at the end was nonsense - he won the ball. Will only get better.
  23. We actually gave one of the worst players I’ve ever seen in a Saints shirt a contract to help ‘mentor’ the youngsters. We really don’t help ourselves sometimes!
  24. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tguvObwKp7Y 20 seconds in. But please, do go on....
  25. Too erratic, too much of a headless chicken and too much diving. Good at pressing which is probably why he gets so much undeserved game time under Ralph but ultimately, he's not good enough or ever likely to be.
