Not unless he can play in goal too.
-
I would start KWP at right-back for this one. Saint-Maximin plays on the left of the front two and I'd prefer his experience over Tino in that one-on-one duel.
-
Mike Dean's on VAR so put your mortgage on a Newcastle penalty or a Saints red card.
-
I think you mean the EFL Cup @SuperSAINT. The EFL Trophy is that competition shite teams in League One and below like Pompey enter

Calf niggle according to Solent. Credit where it's due, thought we were good today. Sure, the odd lapse of concentration and sloppiness in possession but no more so than United in the second half who I thought were pretty awful. Soft goal to concede and looked all over the shop from defensive set-pieces in the first half but Bednarek helped us with that in the second 45. What I liked most was how forceful we were in the tackle and we made some tactical fouls when we needed to (Djenepo first half and Salisu second half, both v Pogba) to stop breakaways, which we've not been clever/cynical/nasty enough for in the past. Has anyone checked if Fernandes has stopped rolling around yet? The absolute fanny.

Let's be honest what will happen on Sunday - the queues will be horrendous building up to kick-off and the checks will just be abandoned to get everyone in for kick-off.

Finished 2-0 Saints. Smith with the second goal. No Simeu in the squad interestingly...
-
U23s currently winning 1-0 against Leyton Orient. Mitchell with the goal.

As much as I don’t think Howe would really improve us, he’s the obvious candidate alongside Lampard. At least the latter would likely be well supported in the coaching dept compared to what we have now. Personally, if we’re continuing with the mantra of only employing managers out of work, I’d go for Rudi Garcia. 50% win rate at his last 4 jobs.

We haven't kept a clean sheet in the last 15 games he's started. 8 months in to 2021 without one...

Andy Madley now the ref instead of Kevin Friend.

Everton without 5 players who are self-isolating, including James Rodriguez. Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison fit to play.
-
Phillips is a right sided CB so he wouldn't be first choice pairing with Bednarek who plays on the same side.
-
Makes a change from them calling us tories all the time I guess.
-
They haven't played at Gay Meadow for about 15 years
-
Really says a lot about this forum that there are currently 34 more replies on this topic than the Everton preview one - our first game of the new season.
-
Good time to play them considering the discontent with Benitez, likely to be without Richarlison and won't have Sigurdsson (*cough*) but then again, we haven't won at Goodison in our last SEVENTEEN attempts over 90 minutes and our opening day record is horrific. Hoping to be surprised but not expecting much.

28 goals in 40 appearances last season and he had 17 more shots (134 in total) than any other player in the league. For comparison, Lambert scored 27 in 42 apps in our promotion winning season in 2011/12. Good bit of business!

The manager has been on about signing a 'number 6' for weeks so it's not related to any potential JWP sale (which won't happen). An extra body in there would ensure that Armstrong is not having to move out of his best position to cover if/when we get an injuries to JWP/Romeu/Diallo.

No Sorloth in Leipzig's squad today...
-
Well it sounds like he didn’t even say goodbye to his teammates, so I guess it was too much to expect for him to do it to the fans.
-
Did I miss his goodbye/words of thanks for the fans? Hasn’t got an ounce of class the likes of Lambert had.
-
What’s bizarre is why you think signing a winger who had 4 or 5 good games for Fulham last season is going to replace a £40-£50m rated central midfielder
-
Still find it astonishing that signing a GK isn't seen as a priority. Neither of them are good enough and it'll cost us points this season.
