So... Just the £35m for a championship side with a crap ground and no training facilities... Sounds like someones telling Storries! -
SSN now reporting that they've asked the EPL and FIFA to let them sell players outside the window I think that's an indication they know what the judgement will be on March 1. They want to get money in whatever it takes and their latest owner isn't going to give it to them

I was having this conversation with my wife last night (she's an accountant who undersatnds football so useful at the moment!) She thinks that it's time they started treating football like a sport again and disassociated it from EU directives. Even to the point where you say.... You must have 7 english players of which 4 must have been born within 75 miles of the ground or have been with your club since the age of 18. I know this is a bit different from this discussion but we really need to get some regional identity back in every team. Teams playing 11 non-english players is a joke.

Why is it so quiet down there? Maybe they've given up? I can't get used to the lack of spin and the friendly calls to The Mail/ESPN/Soccernet etc
-
Nail...Head... Letting the truth out will hurt on many levels for PFC and the EPL
-
It really was an odd request (if they did ask), because in addition to the vastly reduced value they'd receive from their weak negotiating position, no other club is going to give them the whole fee up front anyway. Eg. If Belhadj is worth £6m normally, the most they'd get now is about £3m (as he can't play for the rest of the year), and then the buying club would only want to pay 25% up front anyway, so they'd only get £750k now and the rest over the contract. ...and let's face it. If they don't get money in now they're f*cked and Belhadj is their best asset

Can't Verify Arab (are we padding our way to 15000?)
-
Great idea, but somehow I can't quite see Manure voting for it, or in fact any of the suggestions mentioned. I think until the top 4 bugger off into a european league the rest of the english clubs are f*cked
-
So, is it quiet because the situation is so bad that not even Storrie Teller can spin it positive or is it quiet because they've got something genuine to work on? (or are they all packing their suitcases?)
-
eeerrrrmm...... F*** All About what Storrie usually achieves

Oops... with brains like that I should work for Vantis

Here's something I can't work out. If PFC only have about 20 professionals on their books and they couldn't even name a full squad during the African Nations Cup..... And Utaka says he's 'only' on £27,000 per week..... How the hell does their wage bill for playing staff come to £1.8m per month!!! £1.8m divided by 30 (allowing for coaching staff in their playing staff, plus a few) is still £60,000 per man Explain that one. I need to go to the Storrie Redknapp school of numbers
-
PFC would have wanted to add some gloss to the facts. Stuff like we are confident that a takeover will be in place soon and our biggest 2 creditors are thinking about writing off the £45m we owe them...... but they want a few years to think about it....
-
2 would mean that someone independent (are Vatis really?) would handle the admin and every (possibly, alledgedly, maybe...) shady, irregular, dodgy, dare I say corrupt, detail will come out. Anyone buying from the administrator will have to decide what another 30 point deduction for the irregularities is worth. Luton anybody.... and they did next to nothing
-
I think our resident PFC fans need to remember how 'charitable' the FL are when it comes to teams in financial difficulty. No team has been welcomed straight into the FL after being newly formed, and also remember Luton.... The new board / owners uncover a side-payment to an agent by an ex-director (was it 12 months previous!?) and run to the FL to be up front and honest. What happens? The FL say 'well done for spotting that, here, have another 15 point penalty' Dealing with the EPL is a joy compared to dealing with the FL. Unless you think the FL will take the view that adding AFC PFC to their 'brand' will be a big enhancement. This is the point where you decide to what degree new PFC wants to be associated with old PFC. Damned is you do and damned if you don't
-
Does anyone know what would happen if PFC didn't submit the SoA. The board may look at it, think 'Oh sh1t' and decide they would buy more time by just missing the deadline Anyone know what would happen for a fact.... Clapham?
-
It's rumoured that we took about 40% of the money owed fo Walcott in exchange for early payment. Is Ho suggesting they'd be willing to take £4.5m now instead of the £11m at the end of the season. I think they're that desperate that they probably would. You'd have to be a bit of a cretin to think these so scenarios were similar
-
Sh1t - that means if we get a draw we have to play the replay, rather than them being put out of their misery first
-
If they signed him in time to play against us I'm going to be doubly p155ed off It's F****** outragious The FA and PL should be ashamed of themselves :mad::mad:

INSOLVENT - No **** sherlock

They don't teach them English in their academy to they!?
-
If Storrie-teller is having to run to the press to put out statements like 'if they don't agree then they won't get anything, and that can't be right' then in my view they are nowhere near agreeing a deal The HMRC lawyers do read papers and wont be impressed by this at all. Storrie may be used to negotiating with idiots but in this case he has just made his job even harder
-
They might squirm their way out of it but they'll still come up smelling of fish!
-
I'm not sure I understand what difference this makes to anything...
