Report in yesterdays Times (p30) set it out well. Administration is just delaying the inevitable. Without significant new money they can't see the FL allowing them to start the season
-
Many good business men have tried to make a profit out of league teams and failed. Many better ones have realised you can't and got out (Noades, Pathetis, etc). How would Chainrai succeed where others have failed and that's before you consider he has no football expertise. If he buys PFC from the administrator it'll only be to take any remaining parachute payments before selling again or closing them down. He was conned and wants repayment big time. If he buys them again the supporters better start thinking AFC quickly (NH - They're toast, honestly - maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday and for the rest of their lives )
-
Although league teams are usually owned by 'local boy made good' it's got to be pretty tough to tell whether your successful local businessman is a bad egg or not (Jordan, Ashley, noades, scully ,etc)
-
They do of a kind, but when you consider Munto Finance passed it then it shows it isn't worth a hill of beans..... (damn too slow...)
-
I expect it's just a ploy to keep fans interested and keep the money coming in this season, as is appealing the -9
-
if all the parachute payments are spent, then why do you think Chainrai would want PFC. I coul believe it if he had more parachute money to come he isn't interested in owning a football club, he is interested in money ownng a freshly relegated cc club with no parachute payments is not a formula to make money. It's a formula to turn a big fortune into a small one

Spot on +1

The PL want rid of PFC..... End of They will make whatever concesssion necessary to get them to the end of the season, but will also do everything possible to make sure they are relegated The administrator comments are just negotiations It will be a case of the PL releasing funding or whatever as long as they accept the points penalty (can you imagine the bottom half of the table voting for no points penalty..... Turkeys..... Christmas.....
-
I have it on good authority that Pardew was down because he had £1000 on Bridge to shake Terry's hand
-
It's been said loads of times on here guys that it's unsecured debts. Both Chainrai and Gaydamak are secured. HMRC will be 75% of the votes. Without their agreement there is no chance Mr Android I thought acknowledged that they would need the HMRC on side to achieve it
-
He said request payment of next years £16m payment
-
That's good So they won't need talk to the PL about all those concessions then will they, or ask for any para money early, or did he not say that either?
-
Sounded to me like he said 'We will come out of administration with a CVA - not maybe But I could have misheard (although others on here earlier ask why he could be so sure, so that infurs he said they will)
-
The PL will definately bend over backwards to get them to the end of the season. Beyond that ..... they wont give us toss
-
Contradicted himself He said in the statement We will come out of administration with the CVA In the interview after he was asked if he could guarantee survival beyond this season and he said, There are no guarantees, but someone else might beat us too it
-
If they go down by 20 points this year I wouldn't put it passed the FL to say at the end of the season..... Your -9 was ineffective in the PL so in the spirit of the game (yes, remember that one?) we are going to reimpose it this season
-
Now they're into Admin perhaps you can let out a few of those other bits of info you were holding in....?
-
For many years there were very few games anyway, but you're right. PES, Mero even Corp Ho Ho Ho will be back, and probably all the better for it
-
Note that the Football Conference aren't afraid to do the right thing - follow the rules or you're out. The PL have been shown up by their much (much much) poorer cousins. Integrity or brand - You've made your choice Scudamore, now we wait
-
PES. You guys really do need to get on and set up AFC Pompey. Shake free of the w*nkers and make it truly a local club for local people. This is an opprtunity. If the fans make it clear that they aren't interested in the fixed up sale to the next Crook it'll stop it happening anyway (and Chester's demise only makes the opportunity better - a club in the conference that can get 10k every week would make the authorities sit up and listen)
-
Fair comment and respect that fully, but out of interest, if you really mean that why are you reading this thread?
-
Being a fan sure can make you blind

Weird really the rivalry thing. I've been a season ticket holder since I was 8, nearly 32 years (Christ!) I always felt that PFC had a rivalry with us but we didn't have much of one with them. I remember not that long ago people suggesting that our local derby being against Tottenham because PFC weren't our level (or something like that) Is it more a one way thing or is it just a case of the lower league team hating the higher more and so the rivalry has returned in the last few years? Maybe that is why Bournemouth fans aint keen on us? hmmmmm - ok, philosophical moment over, back to the skate hate

Thank you sir (yellow blob dopping hat) I will update my nearly but not quite right data

As I said in the last para, I didn't see them complaining to the PL when they were taken over by Sasha and Dad
