  1. One massive problem for any buyer is that the ground is valued at £10m. Chinney will see it as a potential development site once there is no football club anymore, and the Local Authority will struggle not to give permission for alternative development if there is no PFC to frequent it. But to any new buyer it is just a delapidated wreck, worth a fraction of that. How can you persuade Chinney to sell it for what it is worth as football stadium? Why would anyone consider buying PFC without it?
  2. I'd have thought Chinny would only be taking possession of / buying PFC. Don't think NOS or any of the other crap related to CSI will be anything to do with him will it? I wonder if AA might even find a way to shift some of PFC's debt onto CSI? ........I wonder if that was always the plan......
  3. Just got in. Any team news? Fonte Fit? SDR back?
  4. If he wants to chuck £50m at a football club, then why not everton? Much better bet than Pompey (they even own their own ground!)
  5. Pahars is the comparison. Latvia weren't ranked high enough so it didn't matter that he'd played enough games. I think they've dropped the ranking rule now which is why the 10th best player from the democratic republic of nowhere can get in but the 20th best from Argentina (or japan!) can't
  6. So according to that, other than the £10.8m to CSI, they don't owe anybody anything............ hhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa (All the creditors on the CVA are going to love that!)
  7. Surely that should be the other way around!!!!!?
  8. What would be a breath of fresh air would be for the FL to say, 'We acknowledge that the FPPT has been a complete **** up in this case and now PFC is so riddled with the effects of corrupt ownership, dodgy payments, etc that it is beyond repair. Therefore in the best interests of all concerned we are going to withdraw their FL membership and shut them down. As we acknowledge that our FPPT didn't offer the the club and it's fans the protection they, and all clubs, deserve we are going to assist them in the setting up of a new club and allow them into the League Pyramid at an unusually high level (say, Conference South). Any honours the club has gained since the club was sold by Milan Mandaric will also be expunged. We apologise for our part in this club's downfall but acknowledge that the only way to purge the club and more importantly the Football League itself of these individuals is to take what we consider to be a firm but fair action, giving the club a fresh start. What chance huh? I know some people will say they don't deserve it. They lapped it up at the time, but I think it's probably the only way out, and it is within the FL's power
  9. They're PFC. Even if they get better, they'll still be sick
  10. Wondered why is was still getting that squiggly thing under the word
  11. I have lots of evidence of our inflexibility in transfer dealings!!! ......but only when we're selling. If you want AOC it's £12m take it or leave it. Inflexibility isn't always always a bad thing
  12. Ravel Morrison is big big trouble - I wouldn't want him anywhere near our happy bus. United would have kicked him into touch by now if they could be sure one of the other big clubs wouldn't pick the idiot up and turn him around, and it come back to haunt them.
  13. Many clubs have adopted the attitude that if we sign just one more player it may make the difference between getting promoted or not - look at West Ham. Big Sam always wants just one more, despite having 40-odd already. (It doesn't stop them looking cr*p in my view either) No one disputes the need for another forward. The question is can we get one that fits into the group and the pay structure without breaking the bank
  14. Expect his agent thinks that'll make it worth another couple of thousand a week then
  15. It certainly is a very difficult balancing act for any Chairman to give it the best possible shot at signing the best possible players, without putting the club at risk... Nobody would thank him if we were back in Admin after a couple of failed attempts to get back into the PL Maybe we should be following our Fishy Friends quality over quantity approach........ (Don't for one minute take that suggestion seriously!)
  16. Is this the longest painful death of a Football Club ever?
  17. It could also be that we're having more bids turned down because we have money to spend and other don't. I don't think having bids turned down is a bad thing. I can't understand why people think other clubs should want to sell their best players, particularly at the beginning of the window. If they decide that a bid from us has made them realise they may want to sell, of course they're going to put it into the market to see if someone will pay more.... and that's another 2 weeks gone....
  18. If we're having more bids turned down than others are, I'd imagine it's because we're offering for players that other clubs want to keep rather than their cast-offs, or am I being naive?
  19. I don't think the FL will change their view on a points deduction whether they have new owners or not. They just want to be sure of the facts before they make a decision and they want the correct in arguable data so they can knock AA straight back into his place when he whinges about it. It was Luton's new owners who took the information regarding misdemeanors by the previous owners to the FL, but it didn't stop the FL giving the new regime a massive penalty. The only time there has ever been instant penalties is when it's been a clear cut decision, ie, we're calling in the administrator, ok here's a 10 point penalty. Ours wasn't instant
  20. I remember Matt Elliott joining Leicester over us for exactly that reason. His wife was from oop north and didn't want to come this far south. WAGS make the decisions for some players...
  21. Don't know why people are worried about the FL. They have a history of acting decisively and strongly (ask Luton). They just want to know all the facts (Portsmouth have only been under their duristiction (sp?) for 6 months. When they act they'll want to do it in the knowledge that they're 100% right and appeal proof. The FL will do Portsmouth no favours. (Not unless someone there is being 'influenced' in some way..... What am I thinking, sorry, no chance of that. All their owners and their cohorts are such honest and trustworthy people!)
  22. Is LJ playing for them?
  23. 2 things..... Nobody would agree to buy a club this quickly. Ever heard of due diligence? Oh, forgot, their type of buyer doesn't do that. Also it would be quite amusing if they WERE fighting it out for promotion at the end of the season because the PL definately wouldn't want them back! I'd love to see the panic
  24. ah - beat me to it (with a better explanation in better english too!) - Cheers Guv (disappears mysteriously back around the corner...)
  25. I guess because the Parent Company owes Chinny stacks of dosh still but no longer has the money to pay (as all the primary shareholders assets have been put in the deep freeze!)
