The whinging and whining about the FPPT is winding me up. If a buyer comes forward in the next 10 minutes and the FL say no you're unsuitable the phew will be doing their nut claiming the FL are killing the club. They should have gone under 2 years ago. End of. The FL need to release a statement making it clear that the FPPT is nothing more than a power of veto that they may or may not wish to use. It is the clubs responsibility who they choose to sell to. If a prospective owner is put forward to the FL by the Club for FPPT then they are deemed to be acceptable to the club already and any future dissatisfaction is the problem of the club.

I think it's unusual for a club to admit the admin intention before going to court to request it. Until the court approves the admin it's just a 'concept'. Therefore I think the points are deducted once approved and they have there 7-10 days to appoint the administrator (like Rangers). The courts might say no and then no deduction be applied. Of course they'd be in even bigger cr*p then though Thoughts? ......edit - beaten to it. Must learn to type quicker!

West Ham, Brum or PFC A motley list of candidates
-
I don't look at that line up with any great fear
-
The formal acceptance by the courts is certainly no formality
-
It would be interesting if that 'few' days for the courts to formally accept the move into administration took them beyond Monday and their date with HMRC. I do hope they haven't left it too late....

I know of a Greek sounding guy who's keen
-
Why do the media think they 'may' or just 'probably' face a 10 point deduction? Why only 10 points? Can anyone (HMRC?) stop AA being appointed the administrator? Can anyone (HMRC?) block it completely? Why does my head hurt...?
-
Depends if they paid them after the last match. You only get 7 days credit off them and they won't turn up if they haven't been paid from the last time. Could be another excuse to get a game postponed and blame someone else. 'We had to postpone because the Police are unreasonable'
-
Yep. That isn't going to be -10
-
Scottish FA can be pretty harsh though. Didn't Dundee (or Dundee United) get -25 for going into administration last year? Edit - Yes, it was Dundee in November 2010. -25 points

You only have to look at the comments from the phew fans after The News articles to see what they think of it. They are gleeful that they might not have to pay their debts. One of them was suggesting that the Aussie clubs deal would be with old co so they shoudn't have to pay them any money. If their dad or brother supplied PFC with signage, programmes or catering would they think it was brilliant (and fair) that they weren't being paid. Someone has to work for Bishops printers and they're probably PFC supporters. Are they happy that they may lose their job because of it. I don't get why they're so happy. They think they're one up on the world because they could get away with paying their bills - weird Maybe be a few phew fans need to have their caravan repossessed because of non-payment by PFC to understand why it isn't something to cheer about.

I suspect funding admin is priority number 1. I doubt that if they intend to go into admin that they have any intention of paying other creditors in the near future. Can Lumpitt do it though?
-
Same guy (Ian Prior - Guardian) also says Rangers are about to go into admin too - That is a level beyond PFC Wonder if HMRC have got them on the image right thing?
-
Is that the team or a guess?
-
Probably chose to water the pitch the night before.......
-
Depends if the manager's brief is to make money by selling players (then ok) or to get results on the pitch (not ok). Holloway and Dario Grady are on the same deal
-
As it says on the can. Never gonna happen but kinda nice that there is dome acknowledgement of doing s good job here

I hate to give Storrie the benefit of the doubt but if the Chief Exec of a well known company resigns it gets publicity. People want to know why. You can't just disappear quietly. His boss was the son of a gun runner with very unsavoury friends. You can't just walk out saying what a nasty crook the man is (otherwise there's every danger you would disappear quietly - into a river with concrete boots!). And this at a time when the Phew loved Sacha too, so he wouldn't have got much support.

I've met Harry several times away from football and have found him a decent friendly bloke (usually at golf events), and yet when I think of him in a football context I find him thoroughly dislikable. It's a weird thing, and not just because I'm a Saints supporter. I think he's a kind of retarded Robin Hood. I have no doubt at all that he takes absolutely every pound he can get his hands on (haggling down to the last penny), it's just in his cockney nature. But he does chuck it around, not in an I'm rich up yours kind of way, more of a I've got more than I need, lets do this with some of it way. The story about signing half the profits away on the property development because he hadn't read the contract I heard a while ago so I suppose it's probably true, and I've witnessed him a couple times put up pretty expensive prizes at Charity Golf Days (like rounds for 3+him and food at expensive golf courses). Not mega bucks but probably about £500 to £1000 worth. He's the sort of bloke that almost comes across as tight when he's being pushed to spend but if he thinks of the idea himself or has free choice, he's pretty free with it. Anyway, a retarded Robin Hood is the way I think of him, and I suspect he's probably guilty of trying to keep the money because it's just in his nature, but actually not guilty of wanting to deprive HMRC of it. I know that doesn't make sense really, but to me it would sum him up. I personally hope he gets the England job. If anyone can do it well I think he can because he massages egos and that's the only thing tossers like Cole and Terry respond too. Also, if he f*cks up the media will turn on him finally and I wont have to put up with the 'Harry is the greatest' sh1t that they print every other day

How can they go into admin? I thought only the wup server (hmrc) could put them into admin?
-
I'd have thought Martin would be the central defender who'd deserve a break now. He's played a lot of football lately. You could argue that Hooiveld and Fonte both need game time
-
Ho, you've ignored both my posts from yesterday ....yyyyyaaaaawwwnnnnn Wages are not subsidised at SFC. Our overheads are covered by our revenue. ML only invested in transfer fees, infrastructure, etc, but insists the club can 'wash it's own face' on day to day costs. Otherwise known as sensible business practise Stop ignoring posts to suit your arguement
-
Irony too. Council leader: We're not putting any part of our locally collected taxes in to help our own club, but we think the national purse should take a hit on our behalf.
-
That's a double bluff 'Put in some money', 'no?', 'well f*ck off and keep your nose out then' As for the PM telling HMRC to withdraw their winding up petition. Well, I don't have much faith left in those running the country, but that would just about tip me over the edge. Let's just open the door for every football club that's struggling to pay it's tax to not bother. Or are they suggesting the PFC is a special case, the bestest case in fact. Pathetic!
