The last line is key In league one next year with an owner that expects revenue to exceed expenditure Watching that'll please the 'bestest fans' that think they're a massive club
-
This is premature There's no way he'll just have paid off 100% of the debts (remember the old CVA has broken down so it now reverts to the entire original debt value). There's more to come from this. If he wants to buy it with a new CVA in place then prepare for some more entertainment. Do Baker Tilley still get to vote or is it all the original creditors that made up the original CVA voting individually?
-
Dickson was only recalled from Yeovil to go on loan somewhere else for the rest of the season. Orient I think. He's not recallable, although he's also already played for 2 clubs this season so he couldn't play for us anyway
-
Anything from the supporters meeting with TB? Started at 12.30pm
-
Good point. Would either of these individuals still pass as fit and proper?
-
Why would they want it with b*gger all parachute payments left? Unless they hate skates and want to torment them forever. I think I'm starting to like BC
-
I can see how this is going to end now (flash of insight!). The ultimate irony.... At the 11th hour, minutes before liquidation is officially confirmed, a super-wealthy investor steps forward and agrees to buy out chinney, the gun runner and clear all the creditors. Plans for a mass party and caravan ****-in are ecstatically announced. .....then the FL announce that the new owner has failed the FPPT due to a techicality (a minor conviction for smoking cannabis 20 years ago or something similar) and they get liquidated anyway
-
Thanks Trousers Toast then, with a nice thick spread of points penalty for not meeting the CVA
-
Couldn't listen to Birch on Solent Can anyone give a quick rundown of what was said Thanks
-
Exactly, that's my point. £30m is a massive amount of money to nearly anyone, but for the skates it's a drop in the ocean. If they want to carry on the way they have then they'll need twice that and still have a problem in 5 years. If however, they want to clear their (new) cva debts, buy their ground and accept they live within their means from that point on then it just may be enough. But does corpse love them enough to gift the whole £30m and then watch third or fourth tier football?....... No, thought not.
-
Well done for not PMSL anyway Corpse. Simple question, if you had £30m (but no more), would you by PFC? If the answers no, then I think you're toast. If yes, then I think you're a fibber and you're toast

13:08 Comment From Spoon Knocker It didn't look rosey, Steve, no. Everyone with any sense and access to google could see that Antonov/Dubov/CSI were more than a little questionable and no improvement on Gaydamak but nobody wanted to rock the boat whilst the money was coming in. Everyone rolled over and had their tummies tickled with money from "interesting" sources and now we're paying the price for that. I don't blame the football league. The blame lies closer to home. More people are starting to see that and it should include The News. 13:09 Steve: Well why didn't the officials at Pompey or the Football League stop it from happening then?? How could we as a paper have stopped the takeover as well? It's becoming like the ramblings of a mad man with an axe to grind.
-
13:00 Comment From Spoon Knocker OK Steve, wash your hands of any responsibility by being glib if you wish, but you can't change the fact that you and your colleagues bottled the difficult questions at the time and are now, with the lovely benefit of that hindsight, trying to say "We told you all along, it's everyone else's fault". It doesn't stick and many of us real Fratton faithful can see right through it. We've been let down by lots of people and that includes The News, whether you like it or not. 13:01 Steve: Ok - well you are entitled to your opinion. At the time, when the latest takeover happened, everything looked relatively rosy didn't it? Although we were barred from interviewing the CSI owners when they invited other media along. --- Interesting one
-
They're arguing between themselves now. What a waste of time. It degenerated from Takeover Stuff to just 'why can't we ban all Saints Fans from everywhere'.
-
To be fair he has tried some difficult ones.... he just then answers a different question!
-
12:38 Comment From On The Edge Blue Hi STeve. There are reports that some of our office staff are still owed money from 2 years ago! Do you know if that's true. Embarrassing if it is! 12:39 Steve: If they are small creditors, then I guess that is the case. We all know what happened with tha promise to pay the small creditors. That was shocking. --- I got another one in and again he answered a different question. What's the point if he's going to spout cr4p!
-
I'm surprised at you. We're talking about PFC, of course you don't even consider it......... you just don't pay the bills!
-
That was me... but he didn't answer the question at all. I didn't say they should play him, I said put him on the bench. Grrrrr
-
How can the BBC allow their journo's to be so completely misleading. First of all the cretin that fronts Late Kick Off says how brilliant PFC supporters were, as 17500 turned up. I doubt the 3000 Leeds supporters will appreciate their allegiance being switched to skates for propaganda purposes. Then to cap it off he announces that the players have agreed to defer ALL of their wages until the end of the season. It's only 25% you pr1ck, and in your knowledgable and privileged position you ought to be emphasizing that they're not giving up a thing as they will get it, and also that deferrals have a downside of making the club more expensive for someone attempting to save them, and therefore making it less likely. Rant over
-
That was a good read. Some things don't change then. Trying to buy success beyond their means right from the beginning. They have achieved far more than us in two ways though. More administrations and points deductions!
-
I thought this was a standard administrator tactic at football clubs. Get your feet under the table and then tell the fans you need another £0.5m to survive and then hope some fan will put up the money. It improves the overall situation for creditors. How much did LC put in to 'save' us? Oh yes, £0.5M
-
Doesn't Tony Husband realise that TB is an ex professional footballer. He knows what a decent atmosphere is and that isn't one. The quicker the local media stop spouting propaganda bull**** the quicker the phew may realise what deep cack they're in. Until that time they remain deluded and in the dark
-
Portpin, AA and PFC would have attempted legal action against the FL if they tried to veto CSI. Remember Lumpitt saying they were the real deal. The phew would have claimed that the FL had it in for them by blocking it...... oh Stop blaming everyone else for your problems you f***ing thick idiots
-
Was that a HatRickie then

Brilliantly insightful Dave 'What we don't want to do now is concede a goal'..... When is a good time?
