But who's left now that knows anything?

Docker P, this is simple ML agreed to buy SFC subject to NC agreeing to control it for him, as he had his other investments for a number of years (although not previously in a full time roll). NC agreed to give up a very well paid career to take the SFC roll. ML agreed a figure with NC. It's irrelevant whether the sum is suitable for a business of our size or type. Would you give up a current position for one which pays half as much? ML was happy to pay it. NC accepted the roll for the agreed remuneration. ... And therefore, it's none of your business!

It is strange that there is money in a UHY account. If PFC had already gone into administration and UHY were administrators then they would provide them with an account, but UHY had nothing to do with the day to day running of PFC (I know, ha ha). So they may have been accepting money on PFC's behalf, like the cash payments for tickets. I'm not sure that's strictly ethical, but as TB says, compliance is not really their thing.

Just because Birch did the due diligence for CSI, people shouldn't assume that he 'recommended' a purchase. He might have said this is a heap of sh1t and you'd be mad to go near it. CSI were desperate to get in somewhere.

http://pompeypages.com/2012/02/20/did-pompey-make-the-wrong-decision/? You don't say. Do you think that might have been a good idea? Oh well, too late now. (Bet the writer of this is being chased around nottarf krap right now for uttering such words)

It's always been the case that they thought 'we'll be fine as long as our owner keeps putting in £10m per year', and to be fair (why, oh why should I?) if the owner insists that he is going to put in the required sum for the foreseeable future, then the vast majority of clubs would go along with it and spend the money. Remember Notts County's episode with Munto finance. After their last administration they were predominately owned by supporters groups, but they voted to sell out to a bvi group which promised mega-bucks investment. The funds dried up after about 10 minutes (after Sven and Sol had taken their share), and then the club is bought out of admin at the last minute by a traditional owner again. My points being: 1) If an owner wants to spend money it's actually a bit difficult to stop them (and you want to believe in them) 2) Even if the fans own the club, it will either be broke or sold back into 'risky' ownership again because, human nature, we never learn and want to achieve more Although the Skates are more willing whores than most, I think every club on the planet is susceptable Where the Skates differ from most is that they are proud that they can shrug off the debt. They believe it's an achievement to screw over others (Must go and shower now - I feel dirty..... )

Yep, see my post 55078 from this morning

Now then loyal bestest pompey players. When we went into admin some of our players volunteered to (and I mean volunteered not got bullied into) forego wages until the club was in a position to pay them, Kelvin for one. How many of you 'quality over quantity' players are going to offer to do the same to save the club you 'love'?

POSITIVE 5 minutes of adoration from the phew when the takeover is complete NEGATIVE A lifetime of hate from the phew when you refuse to chuck a fortune at employing a band of ex-prem mercenaries
-
I don't recall anyone in the local media telling the phew to give it a rest when we were in admin. So they can f*ck off now
-
To be fair both Puncheon and Lallana pulled out of 50 50 tackles at 4-0 I think they were just not risking injury when it was already game over

Good piece by Rod Liddell in The Times sports supplement today, entitled 'Portsmouth pay the price for absurd delusions of grandeur'. Basically says they have ideas above their station and cheated. Although, in typical Rod Liddle fashion he goes on to suggest that most teams (including Saints and Leeds) think that a few years in the top flight mean you have a right to be there. Think it was 27 Rod!

I would assume that the administrator would have to highlight the irregularities, which TB would do. Can't see that AA would have done that though!
-
TB's standing in the game is so high that there is no way he will cover anything up. He is a 'Professional'. Also, bear in mind that he is there due to HMRC and they don't have a whole lot of interest in getting any money out. In my view they want to make an example. They won't agree with a CVA and will still quite happily see PFC go to the wall. Finding irregularities won't bother his sponsor in the slightest.

Ok SWFers - It's PTS Game Time, and todays question is......... In the event of liquidation, what is PFC (2010) Ltd's greatest salable asset, ignoring anything that would fall inside the football creditors rule? My answer is the accounts departments Fax Machine, but that's only because I think the Photocopy is leased. Any other takers?
-
This is my prediction for the future of PFC Only one person shows any interest in buying PFC. He is a Honk Kong businessman going by the name of Channrai (sp?) Apparently he already owns the deeds to the ground so PKF do a deal with him. PFC are then shafted for the next 2 years by a rather spiteful owner. He pockets the last 2 parachute payments, sticks 2 fingers up at Baker Tilley and liquidates the corpse that was once PFC, with them freshly relegated to the conference anyway. No one has to switch off the lights because the power was already cut off.
-
What it means is that if they are going to survive, then they are going to have to get out of admin legitimately No dodgy deals. If they can't be saved he will liquidate Birch is a straight straight man

Thought this thread was the Portsmouth Takeover Saga.... have I gone to the wrong place?
-
Why don't you try and contribute something constructive - f*ckwit Ifthat's all you've got to pick up on then you have some big issues
-
Was announced by reporter on SSN standing in front of the courts
-
I can't see HMRC agreeing that they could do that
-
How can the FL allow that! They exited admin via a cva agreed with the creditors and then reduced it without telling them. That's got to be a mega points deduction
-
Allowing them to go into admin but not allowing AA to be administrator is the worst outcome for Chinney It's the best outcome for the Phew in my opinion - still not looking good for them though
