Still haven't seen us win since the playoff final. Going to the Pompey game as well.. 🫣 Why do we seem to overcommit to every attack and when we lose it, there's literally one defender back? Happened more than once today. We look like a team that's still trying to figure out a new style. On another day Robinson, Flynn, Stewart and THB's other header goes in, but in truth we didn't deserve it. Stoke completely did a number on us with their dark arts and took their chances.

Only a year left on his contract and surplus to requirements at Brentford. Transfermrket has his value at €6m. I'd be guessing somewhere between £3m-£4m. They bought him for €60k from Copenhagen six years ago.

Elyounoussi it is then.
-
Pretty evident that he's waiting for a better option to come along. Just stringing us along until a bottom half Premier League team inevitably swoops in. Didn't he already turn us down in early July, as he thought he'd get offers from a top European league?

Are we negotiating our transfers via carrier pigeons or something?
-
Nice to get this one over the line! Hopefully Rudoni will follow shortly.

This might be worse than women's football. Chloe Kelly is better than BBD.
-
The only five minutes of the game that I missed we scored and hit the post, so I've taken one for the team and stopped watching. We'll score three or four now.

Only one word is required to describe that first half: shite.

I take it all back. Spors masterclass.

Like the guy at the fans forum said, if we get £50m for Dibling we should spend £30m of it on one player. It makes sense, in his mind anyway. Happy to judge our business at the end of the window, but Spors admitting it was his decision to give Jack a three year contract doesn't fill me with much confidence going forwards.

These are all a bit pointless aren't they? You don't actually learn any info from it. Basically like the general public talking to politicians. -
It would be funny if after all of this Everton saga that another team swoops in at the last minute like @LeG alluded to. Just can't see Liverpool, Spurs or United dropping £50m on him.
-
Can't see us keeping a clean sheet, but can see us scoring 2 or 3. We also could keep a clean sheet and not score, or only score one. If we lost 2-0 it wouldn't surprise me anymore than winning 3-0. I literally have no idea what to expect on Saturday, but the second half of the Brighton game has given me hope. It would be nice to match our one home league victory from last season in the first game though.

Exactly how I feel. He was a real threat at times last season (particularly when Martin was still here) but afterwards his performances dropped off substantially. You could argue that it's because he was playing in the second worst Premier League team of all time, devoid of confidence and playing a style that didn't suit his game. The sum of money being mentioned for what he's achieved in the men's game is nothing short of mind boggling. He obviously wants to leave (contract being on the table for months) and I'm in the camp of anyone who wants to leave, should. It's going to be a long gruelling season in the Championship and we need everyone on board. Who knows how his career progresses from here, nothing is guaranteed at his age. I think the club has done well to get a fee over £40m all things considered. As I mentioned to a friend the other day, it's mad how you can have an "okay" season in the Premier League and go from being £10m rated to £40m rated (also see Fernandes), whilst being part of a side that ended the season on 12 points. I guess that's everything that's wrong with today's game for you.
-
I think Everton is exactly the type of club he will end up at. He needs to prove himself at the top level more before a move to a big 6 team. I think we'll accept in the region of £35m + £5m add ons. Wouldn't surprise me if he's gone before the Wrexham game.

Heads up! Pompey tickets are on the website now, it was meant to be half 9 but I've just bought ours.

You're getting sacked in the morning, sacked in the morrnnning, you're getting sacked innn theee mooorning You're not fit to wear the shirt, you're not fit to wear the shirt Get out of our club, get out of our clubbb, Sport Republic, get out of our club. I think that about covers it.

Saw Kevin Davies pick up an ironing board from Argos in West Quay Retail Park, early 2000's. Spoke to Michail Antonio, Oscar Gobern and Jacob Mellis in Oceana. Antonio and Mellis were sound, but when we spoke to Gobern he denied being him and the other two we're pissing themselves at him. Tool. Saw Schneiderlin scouting out the local totty in Orange Rooms, which basically consisted of him pointing at the girl he wanted to talk to and one of his entourage scooping them up.

Quite like all of them tbh. Nice to see a football shirt with a collar again! Only downside is the sponsor block on the away shirt, oh and Stephens modelling the home shirt.

Larios has another two years on his five year deal. He looks to be back to full fitness now, having played 90, 120 and 90 minutes for the U21s in the last month. I guess we'll see how he does in pre season and make a decision on his future then.

Will Smallbone - Official: Loaned to Millwall
SfcPhil replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Like him or not, he's a Championship (at best) player, as are many of our current squad. I've seen a few comments labelling him as "great" last season. Downes was great, Will was ok compared to Charles who was shocking in some of his cameos. Some people need to remember how large the step down to the Championship is. Many of our squad could do a job in the Championship, however pathetic they've been in the Premier League this season. -
We'd be mad to sell him in the summer. Just because he doesn't cut it at Premier League level has no baring on his Championship creditials. Funny thing is if he was playing for a Championship side this season and had scored 24 goals and made 13 assists, most people would be saying buy him! We have to keep him. Could even make a case for Brereton-Diaz as well.

Say what you like about the marking, but Ramsdale should be holding that let alone saving it. Such a weird goalie. Makes some absolute worldies but also acts like Bazunu's long lost brother.
-
Completely disagree with this. I'd take winning at Wembley over winning the Championship every day of the week. Although Leeds will likely win the league, they'll also likely come straight back down too.
