  1. I think it's the right decision to let Alcaraz leave. He has ability but doesn't fit our style of play and as I said at the end of last season, I'd sell anyone who was out on loan last season and try to recoup as much money as possible. ABK, Onuachu to go permanently and Charles, Larios and Stewart to go on loan, with the possibility of Bree/Manning also going. KWP & Bednarek to either sign a contract or potentially leave. I think we need to tie them both down personally. We're going to have a busy final week of the window!
  2. Positives: McCarthy was better than usual Sugawara is Premier League standard Dibling and Fernandes looked bright Negatives: Stephens slows the play down more than any other player, which means we lose momentum and the opposition team has time to get back into shape/read where the next pass is going. The strikers both playing as wingers means there's absolutely nothing through the middle. Aribo is not the answer to play the AM role. When we win the ball back, we can't go forward as there's little to no options. Edozie has zero end product, needs a loan like Charles IMO 5-3-2 might work in away games, but we have to play on the front foot at home if we want to stay up. Russ saying afterwards that it worked in the playoffs is a concerning comment. Yes it did, but we're not playing Championship teams anymore.
  3. 🚨🔵 Brighton are closing in on Matt O’Riley deal with Celtic, verbal agreement almost done! O’Riley set to become next signing for #BHAFC after Kadioglu done, working on final details then all sealed. Here we go, soon. ⏳🇩🇰 Fabrizio Romano
  4. I wish we were Ipswich.. 😉 It's a big step up to the Premier League from the Championship, some will make it, others won't. You get a split second longer in that league that you just won't get in the Prem. It's a big risk, but they're having a go at it. If we can get another keeper (which looks very likely) and O'Riley then it's been a pretty successful window.
  5. Sounds like we're basically floating down the river without a paddle. Just when you think we're recouping some money, the ABK news drops. I wish him all the best and I hope he can be reintegrated in some way, but his health is more important. Apart from KWP, I can't see any meaningful money coming in this summer, which likely means we're solely shopping in the loan market from here on in.
  6. I said at the end of the season that we should look to sell anyone that was loaned out last season, as they either don't fit Russell's style, or don't want to be here. If we can recoup £25-30m on Alcaraz and Bella-Kotchap, it's a no brainer. Hopefully it goes straight towards O'Riley. I still think we'll see Tall Paul, KWP amongst others leave. Bednarek only has a year left on his contract, if a sizeable offer comes in for him, I think he'll go too.

https://x.com/stevenew12/status/1802273436179251571?t=05UWbF7Db1WR2Ww7Sl3asw&s=19 Definitely looks like they relaid it in the summer
  8. 🚨 Breaking: Liverpool have rejected an offer worth up to £15m from Southampton to sign Fabio Carvalho #saintsfc @David_Ornstein
  9. 2-0. Consensus, our second string are still as bad as they were at Gillingham last August.
  10. I think there's more chance of Rod Stewart leading the line next season than Ross.
  11. Southampton are set to make a surprise £7m bid for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. Crystal Palace would demand more and the Eagles do not want to lose him permanently. (Alan Nixon)
  12. I heard there's two coming, but we're not paying for the other one
  13. Not sure if it's already been posted but this image is showing as our away shirt on dhgate.
  14. I'm okay with it as long as we sign a number 1. If he's our number 1, we're basically down already.
  15. Sorry for your loss Noodles. Condolences to yourself, your family and friends. Rest In Peace Elijah.

    Adam Lallana

Meh. Basically sums up how I feel in one word 🙃
  17. Personally I'd sell anyone who is currently loaned out. They weren't good enough/didn't want to fight in the Championship/don't fit Martins style. I'd also sell Mara and Sulemana, both a waste of a squad place. Forgot we've still got Lyanco, Caleta-Car and Onuachu to return.. Should get well in excess of £50m for the above plus Alcaraz, Bella Kotchap & Perraud. Whether the club is as cut-throat as me remains to be seen, I doubt it, but it'll be interesting to see if any are reintegrated in the squad. If we want to stay up next season, we have to aim higher in terms of the personnel of the past. They didn't cut it then and they won't now.
  18. I know it's a ridiculous amount of money, which most people including myself wouldn't pay, but I believe there's still Club Wembley hospitality tickets for £499 each.
  19. Definitely sold out. This is showing on the website.
  20. From memory, Match Tickets } Mens Match Tickets } Information (or something similar, next to the Leeds game) } Buy Tickets. You'll be able to see if your membership has activated by clicking Account. It should says Saints Plus and your membership number in the area with Qualifying Away Games.
  21. Adult tickets in certain areas were over £100, but Over 65's we're half the price. My adult one was £54 and my dad's was £27 in the upper tier. It won't be a scam, you'll be fine! See you at Wembley! 😃
  22. Another word of warning. If you've bought memberships today and expect to be able to buy earlier.. I bought my Dad a membership to secure semi final tickets and it took the best part of 2 hours to activate on his account. His name was still greyed out under Friends & Family, so I had to patiently wait until the system had updated. I can only assume that with today's site traffic, it would take even longer to activate!
  23. Word of warning to others that may auto select seats, double check they're actually together as there's been instances that the seats are a few rows away from eachother!
  24. Got mine at 9:15, not sure why I was able to buy at that time but I'm not complaining! Only seats that were available were in the top tier and they were going rapidly while I was on the seat map.
  25. Said we'd win fairly comfortably on Friday and I believe we'll also win at Wembley. We've beaten them twice, if there's any fear it should be from their side, not ours. It'll be a different type of game due to what's on the line, but I think we'll edge it. The first goal will be absolutely crucial. If we get it, their end will fall silent and we can play our possession game to frustrate them. The ramifications for the loser doesn't even warrant thinking about just yet, but obviously it will be catastrophic for either team.
