  1. Could somebody who knows where SaintRobbie lives pop round and put him out of his misery. It's like listening to a dog whining in the road after being hit by a truck.
  2. Not many examples forthcoming are there? I guess this thread is dead - back to the Wimbledon Hotties thread for me......
  3. Let's have some examples of the "not gullible" clubs that regularly do that then. I am sure there must be loads as we are the only club who haven't allegedly. I suppose Liverpool have bought Lambert to replace Suarez?
  4. SaintRichmond, SaintRobbie and now Eelpie are getting tedious beyond belief......banging the same old drum over and over and over..,Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Not sure what can be done to make them happy. Maybe we need to have a protest march or something, or some protest suicides.
  5. How long ago was it that Lee last worked at Southampton? Wasn't that in some coaching capacity also?
  6. I'm not doubting Watson or his abilities, I am merely suggesting caution over taking what you read on Wikipedia as gospel (despite the fact that I often do so myself).
  7. Fair enough. That said, and although I may have to eat my words one day, I have no issues with Reed, his role, or the job he is doing (thus far).
  8. With the obvious caveat that any Tom, **** or Harry can update Wikipedia. You could go on his page and say he's your long lost son if you want - doesn't make it true. That said, it will soon get moderated.
  9. I really don't give a monkeys about his time at Fulham. There could be any number of unseen circumstances behind any issues there. The only thing that matters is the success (or otherwise) of his tenure with Southampton.
  10. Where is the evidence he gets things wrong?
  11. A few posts in and still nobody trawling up the Charlton stuff. Pleasantly surprised!
  12. The directors don't seem spineless at all where he is concerned (yet). Let's wait and see......
  13. I haven't really seen or heard anything to indicate he has an issue with saints. His comment last night was a throw away that anyone would have said under the circumstances - a poor/obvious attempt at humour.
  14. A TLA is defo limited to three, otherwise it would just be an A
  15. None of those are TLAs (nor is RADAR)
  16. I can't believe you've never said "KEFOW" for a CFO! Where have you been?? PS I did really know what QED stood for but am happy to have provided you with a quick excuse to look it up
  17. Yes really. DOF is an acronym. "Etc" would be an abbreviation. QED (not sure about that one).
  18. Regardless of whether or not he has or has not intimated an intention to strike, if any player does do that they should get the same treatment that Nottingham Forest dished out to Pierre van Hooijdonk.
  19. These TLAs are three letter acronyms, not abbreviations.......but apart from that I agree.
  20. In this hypothetical world would you be a "CL quality" player or a "barely good enough for the EPL" type of player?
  21. £30m for LS *is* stupid money. We can replace him with a decent LB and still have plenty left to reinvest. The Lallana money is also way OTT. He can also be replaced - if you accept that the player will not be English. We will just have to wait and see who we bring in. Personally I am not bothered by any of the departures individually. The only concern I have is that they may all be at the same time.
  22. Ditto - not the greatest video ever. I prefer to be deluded with videos like the De Ridder efforts
  23. Cynical attitude, not to mention unnecessarily abusive. Obviously money is a factor, but it is not the only factor. LS has left for more money AND to play for one of the biggest clubs on the planet. I doubt anyone expects them to be absent from CL football for long.. Lallana also wants to play at the highest level he can, and at 26 he has to strike while the irons hot. I don't believe Gareth Bale went to RM just for the money. I am just as irritated as the next bloke by players on long contracts wanting to just tear them up and leave, but sometimes the deal is a no-brainier for both parities. The LS deal is definitely in that category. The Lallana deal is also - it's only tainted by the Bournemouth factor.
