Nightmare week! I went to the Everton game and the 5-2 beating. At Goodison it was freezing and snowing (I recall lumps of ice falling from the front edge of the stand roof onto the pitch!), and when we got back to the minibus in Stanley Park the windscreen had been smashed. We called in at Port Vale FC social club on the way home and were taken out onto the snow-covered terracing in the dark by their manager. That view sticks in my mind as you could see the whole ground and pitch so clearly in the dark because of the snow. Well done finding the 5-2 game, I searched YTube for that myself but couldn't find it. I'm sure I've seen full highlights of that somewhere. [video=youtube;-UV1YN1cQ4k]

A couple of high quality, extended highlights that I've not seen before, for your enjoyment. I was at the Wolves match, my first experience of football violence, we were in the end to the right, but in many small disparate groups. Someone gobbed off about Dougan or something and got a punch from nowhere that splattered the contents of his nose over us all. Happy days!

Blackwall tunnel southern entrance. 1948. So much to look at - a coherent scene. Compare the view on Google Street View. All is gone except the tunnel gatehouse, which is cast adrift in a 21st Century urban sh1tscape.
