I think you'll find people care less about what you say than what I say and no-one gives a **** about what I say. In fact if there was a popularity contest between me, you and hypo, i think i might not come bottom.

I think the vast majority of people will welcome the public sector pensions reforms. It's gobsmacking how they only pay an average of 5% in contributions while those of us in the private sector subsidise them to the tune of 14%. Whilst those of us in the private sector have got on with it - taken pay freezes/cuts and pay more into our pensions, it's no surprise that the "precious" public sector think they are special.

That's debateable. I expect most public sector workers voted Labour and inflicted 13 dark years of that party on us.

My heart bleeds for them. If the Tories achieve one thing, and one thing only, I hope it is to sort out the balance between the public and private sector. The public sector is too big and too cushy. It's time that it was dragged into the real world. They won't like it and they'll strike, but in the end it'll be a price worth paying to sort it out.
