  1. Not drunk. They were in the sky.
  2. Big bright glowing things (flame coloured) moving accross the sky slowly. First two together, then another one and then another one. I suppose they could be helicopters.
  3. I have heard a rumour that the training ground revamp has stalled due to the contractors walking out due to Cortese, can anyone confirm this?
  4. It sounds like fun. On a serious note i'm of the opinion that a lot of this manic depressive stuff is overplayed. What happened to the British stiff upper lip? I've got a relative that goes in for all this depression stuff and my advice to him was to stop feeling all "oh woe is me" and pull yourself together.
  5. The lawyer Colin Montgomerie used is **** hot. Not sure you could afford him though.

    Funny Beer Names.

I've had a pint of Baz's Bonce Blower which I think is (or was) the strongest beer brewed. It tasted foul.
  7. I wasn't asking for approval - I was asking for clarification of the law. The lady was actually very nice and clearly not a townie like most who've replied on this thread.
  8. Just rang the RSPB and you're not allowed to shoot sparrows which seems odd, but I was advised to scare the bird off by tieing a baloon or something where it perches.
  9. It's a genuine question.
  10. I will phone them up now, thanks.
  11. It's only a sparrow. I wouldn't mind if it didn't twit at 4 a.m. It's not funny having keep the windows closed on these warm nights.
  12. I have a sparrow that sits on the gutter of the house and keeps twitting (i think it has somehow made it's home in the roof). I have tried scaring it off and that hasn't worked and I planned to climb up a ladder and spray pollyfilla foam into any gap I discovered but my ladder isn't tall enough, so can I legally use a pellet gun to shoot it?
  13. They do indeed. After the group stages my work dream teams were 2nd, 5th and er 32nd, but given that the first two teams are comprised of Dutch and Brazilian players respectively i'm guarenteed a full team in the semi's. I am quietly confident of finnishing 1st and pocketing around £100.
  14. I hope the chavs from block 42 don't migrate to the Kingsland Corner.
  15. I always park next to the mosque (Charlotte Place). This gives a reasonably easy exit after the game.
  16. I suppose such a person would, but given your vile Nazi views on disabled people I would expect you'd be raging more than most and would support a complete abolishion of I.B. In fact have little respect to posters such as dingbattigger and mouth off on another thread. You've shown your true colours on this subject plenty of times already.
  17. You'd swiftly get onto the U.K gravy train and ditch the Czech benefits because we pay more.
  18. £5M BENEFITS FOR DISABLED MIGRANTS WHO FLEW HOME MILLIONS of pounds of taxpayers’ money is being spent supporting disabled Eastern European migrants who have returned home. More than £5million was sent abroad last year to 2,000 claimants who still get Disability Living Allowance even though they have left the country. The benefit, worth up to £6,305 a year, is to pay for carers and the added expense of getting around for people who are disabled, have difficulties walking or are mentally ill. Some 2,000 claimants who have returned to Eastern Europe and other EU states will continue to receive up to £121.25 a week after a European Court ruled that the Government must keeping paying. Petra Boublikova, 35, is still receiving more than £100 a week in disability allowance despite returning to her native Czech Republic more than two years ago. The mother of one applied for the benefit shortly after arriving in Britain in 2005, the year the labour market was opened up to the Czech Republic. Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia as they joined the EU. Ms Boublikova, who has rheumatoid arthritis, qualified for the allowance at the end of 2007 and returned to Prague soon afterwards. She said she could claim from the Czech government but would not as “it wouldn’t be nearly so much as the British money”. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/183668/-5m-benefits-for-disabled-migrants-who-flew-home
  19. My company rewards attendance by having 100% attendance awards. At these yearly awards you receive a free crystal glass and a meal with a free bar. That said it could be argued that a week off on full pay (you can self certify for this period) is slightly more appealing.... Given that for the first absense in a year you are payed from day one I do generally force myself to convalese fully in the rare instance that i'm sick.
  20. If I was a season ticket holder i'd be very ****ed off about this too. As i'm not i've got a bit of the "i'm alright jacks" about it all. When you add on the booking tax and a fraction of future membership costs to ticket prices I think a good many fans will soon start resenting Corteses attitude towards us.
  21. lol.
  22. Imagine how many England would let in against Brazil. Thank **** we got knocked out when we did.
  23. I was refering to the workshy incapacity slobs who make a life choice to sit of their fat arses and let the tax payers foot the bill. Your daughter clearly isn't one of these creatures. I have no issue with those with genuine disabilities and illnesses, it's the thousands of cheats that I despise.
