  1. Hudderfield murdered us at their place - we put them in their place. Leeds murdered us at their place - we put them in their place. Now it's Swindons turn to reap what they sowed.
  2. BA cabin have the best pay and conditions of all the airlines, but in these competitive dog eat dog times it couldn't go on. Unite as a union are acting with gross iresponsibilty. This episode makes one thing crystal clear to everyone - the public sector (and BA is a throwback to it's public sector days) needs a Conservative government to get in there and sort them out once and for all. If I was David Cameron i'd make it my mission to crush the Unions and privatise the vast bulk. Only privatisation will solve the problem.
  3. I've got nothing bust respect for Herbie, all those years and hardly missed a game is an awesome feat.
  4. Ha Ha, you're a legend Dalek.
  5. This isn't a nice thing to say, but Marcus Liebherr is not a young man, what happens when the worst happens? It's alright us buying good players now and enjoying the ride, but there's also got be a time in the future to look to. If we moved and had a spanking new state of the art stadium it's set us up years and years to come. Anyone who oposes what NC is suggesting needs their head testing.
  6. TBH i want a bigger ground because if and when we get back to the top flight there will be plenty of seats and also because of supply and demand you'd expect prices to be competitive.
  7. But St Marys as an area cannot cope logistically.
  8. We can win more games and compete at the top level. As it stands St Marys will only ever allow us to be a club on the fringes of sucess. With a super stadium we can grow.
  9. Stadium MK is souless because they A) have no fans and B) the fans they have are all weirdos. It's built by the same people that built the Emirates and you can tell - it just has those little details that say quality - St Marys just oozes cheap and basic.
  10. Southampton used to have the highest proportion of season ticket holders who lived outside the catchment area. We held the premiership record for this. So on that basis out of town does make sense. I like my beer so wouldn't really want an out of town stadium and I don't even like out of town stadiums, but from a comercial point of view and for the long term future of the club it makes sense. All i ask is that a few pubs are built in the area!
  11. But St Marys isn't state of the Art. It's bog standard.
  12. Some away fans in L1 might think it impressive, but back in the Premiership St Marys is a nothing stadium. It cost peanuts to build and it shows. Have you been to Mk Dons and seen their stadium? - you can stand on the concourse and watch the game - it's much much better than St Marys.
  13. But with the stadium built other leisure opportunities have the room to spring up around it. Perhaps these other facilities would make you visit.
  14. It's chaos.
  15. St Marys is hardly of the same standard as Arsenals stadium or even MK Dons stadium. It's just a cheap and boring bog standard tin shed.
  16. St Marys is a cheap jack tin shed. It's the same as the walkers stadium and similar to many other tin pot stadiums. If we have the opportunity to move to a stadium to be proud of we should seize the opportunity.
  17. ML won't be around forever, but bricks and mortar will. If moving to a state of the art stadium (out of town or not) is on the cards it'd set us up as a club for decades.
  18. 50 out of 32,000. What's the percentage?
  19. A police set up ha ha ha. What planet are you on? It's obvious why the away fans were let out at the same time - to stop the normal pompey fans being set upon by the yobs in the photos when they tried to get to their cars. If they'd been held in they would have stood out like a sore thumb after the game. Policing is about protecting the majority from the minority, not making decisions in the interests of thugs who are thick as **** and incriminate themselves on CCTV.
  20. Derbyshire
  21. I admire Willy Walsh for the way he's not giving in to the unreasonable demands of the Union. BA workers still seem to think they are in the public sector and not the real world. While most of us accept that the country is in a mess and are making sacrifices with pay freezes etc every day we hear more and more stories of public sector Unions calling for strikes. It's like groundhog day - have we gone back to the future and is it 1979 all over again?
  22. You should have gone for the magnetic beads.
  23. And we'd still have Lowe. Give me L1 with ML any day of the week.
  24. Saints go a goal up, Lew Chatterly franticly signalling everyone to get back and sit on it. He really used to annoy me..
