  1. I agree with you about the prices, but at least we're always a bronze game when we play away at most grounds.
  2. This. It's also embarrassing.
  3. As much as the noddy clubs/towns are a novelty, i'd like to get back to the big city away games.
  4. Ask him why he sings about himself in his songs.
  5. The only problem with what i suggested is that play would have to be stopped if the ball had stayed live. The technology isn't the issue as racing has shown it works. Should games be stopped for any reason other than injuries? Probably not. The more I think about it the more torn I am over this.
  6. Admit it GM, it was you that started the chanting wasn't it. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=20103
  7. "Saints have also encouraged fans to plan ahead for the Journey to North London..." Thankyou "Saints" i knew i'd forgotton something.
  8. Why? Everyone that's on the phone first thing Wednesday (and uses the magic number) will get tickets.
  9. It's nice to see the £3 booking fee ensures a speedy service.
  10. I've just done a search on the Transport for London journey planner and like you say the N18 leaves Trafalgar square and takes 1 hour to reach Cecil Avenue/Copeland school. It then says you need to change onto another bus BUT the time on this other bus is 5 minutes so presumably Cecil Avenue/Copeland school are in the vicinity of Wembley and an easy walk to the hotel (which is next to the stadium)? If it just requires 1 bus it seems a good option.
  11. The night bus would be fine, but the problem lies in being utterly wasted and the logistical problems of a) finding the bus stop and b) getting on the right bus. Cheers for the info though i'll do a google and see if i can get some bus numbers and bust stop numbers and locations. Mmmm, the bus route looks easy-ish if sober, but it wouldn't go to plan i'm sure of that. Sod it it's only money, it's gotta be a cab.

Why does this not surprise me.
  13. which Village?
  14. This thread should really be in the muppet show.
  15. They recently made it a straight red for bringing down a player through on goal. I think this is a good rule, but to balance it i'd make it a rule that if a player dives in the box it's an automatic red card.
  16. What time do the tubes stop running on a Saturday and Sunday night? And how much would a taxi be from central london to Wembley in the early hours of Saturday night?
  17. I can't see him leaving to join the likes of Hull. The place is a **** hole.
  18. I think he rightly worried about the similarities between Socialism and Communism.
  19. Let's just hope it doesn't **** down with rain.
  20. Disagree. All you need is a laser built into the goal posts to give a near instant decision. Refs already have mics and ear pieces so the info could be rapidly relayed. These situations don't occur very often so would hardly impact on the flow of the game. With so much money involved in football (including betting) it's scandalous that football is so out of date. Imagine if horse racing could no longer use photo finnishes to determine the outcome.
  21. I've always wanted to visit Syria, so Syria please Mr Cortese.
  22. This is the place to be.
  23. I may be having a thick moment but when you say bottle banks is this the lingo for several bars?
  24. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill spoke these immortal word over half a century ago and they ring as true now as they did then.
  25. Britain under Blair and brown is pure Socialism. Tax the workers to support the bone idle that live on benefits. Tax the workers and spend spend spend. And true to Socialist past precedents here we are as the sick man of Europe yet again just as we were in 79. Will we ever learn the lesson that Socialism does not work?
