  1. That's the one! He kills people too in threes!
  2. Public Enemies. Charts the antics of the notorious and idolized gangster John Dillinger. Good performances from Bale and Depp especially and slickly directed by Michael Mann who does this stuff really well. Not up to Manhunter or Heat standards, I found it lacking in character depth, but very watchable and cinematography is top notch all the same. 7.5/10
  3. Errrgh. We've had this for a while over here. I presume your version has nasty Nigel too? Simon Cowell, Nigel, Shazza Osbourne, Piers Morgan must all die. Painfully.
  4. Reminding me a South Park episode I saw again the other day where the kids are on a mission to stop Lucas and Spielberg from ****ing up their films with 'enhanced' versions. Arrghhh! Lordy!
  5. Although eternally grateful, it surprises me that the muppet Lucas chose Kershner to direct TESB in the first place. Shame he wasn't responsible for all of them...what could have been.... On another note, I still have Let the Right One In to watch from Christmas. Looking forward to it.

That whole stretch between Lagos and Albufeira would be a good bet for beaches and nice things to eat and drink. Water temp tends to get a lot colder the further west you go of Lagos towards the peninsula.
  7. It was extremely fun and dangerous for me at 17. I remember walking into the newsagents cained and buying dirt cheap massive packs of bangers and other fun pyrotechnics. (Last time I tried that before was on a school French trip and the teachers confiscated the lot!) Great dayshh.
  8. I was staying in Leiden about 17 years ago for NYE celebrations. From what I can remember, the street surfaces were littered with live fireworks and 'banger belts' going off constantly. Fun but mad! Wasn't sure if this was the norm all over the country or more to the fact it was a very studenty area.
  9. Possibly to some extent, but it's not pretending to be anything more though is it. It's Dr Who FFS!
  10. Poor last episode but then again it wasn't a season finale more the end of the Tennant exit specials.
  11. Sprouts and chestnuts http://www.eyegas.com/sproutifarts/
  12. Captain Jack?
  13. It was btw........ Great episode though
  14. I'm having a soft spot for all the bottom eight or so teams (bar one) in the Prem this season.
  15. I agree, Moffat has done the best episodes (Blink, Library,Fireplace) so looking forward to the new series, although can't see the new Doctor being as much of a success...but time will tell.
  16. Yes. Why, out of all the ****e that the majority of tv has become, would Dr Who be singled out as 'tripe'?
  17. Not a great deal of help, but I got the similar Finepix J28 this xmas for my parents. I have not used it but researched it and consensus seems to be that this series have a great and easy to use interface as well as being an all round good quality camera. Also has a bigger screen than the Nikon. The US Amazon reviews for the cheaper J28 are actually much more favourable than the reviews for the J30. I'd try to track down a J28 if I were you. However, those Lumix series from Panasonic for a bit more money are great too. Friend has one and loves it.
  18. Q: How do find Will Smith when he's lost in the snow? A: You look for the fresh prints. Q: Who's the nicest man in a hospital? A: The ultra-sound man Q: Who covers his shifts while he's away? A: The hip-replacement guy.
  19. It's been removed, I can see why, the colour was too offensive. Sorry mods.
  20. That sucks mate... My parents come over in 3 days' time and were close to picking the new BA direct service from Heathrow to Vegas as it was more convenient in every way. Thankfully, Virgin got their business instead when they heard about possible BA action several months ago.
  21. You could lose anything in a carpet like that...
  22. Yes, that's him, the Irish man....also says onion bag alot. (I wanted to use the word 'bastard' to describe him but thought if I said "Irish bastard", it might be deemed zenophobic). I didn't realise he'd been around, I think he's been in the States even before I arrived. BigShadow, I agree, I'd take them all from FSC (even the English gimp who does that awful "fone in" nonsense) over Tommy.
  23. Yes. Do you get Robbie Earle too sometimes? I think they're all part of the pool of 'experts' employed for Prem games for foreign channel consumption. Lucky us. Our in-studio pundit is Warren Barton, but I usually have the volume turned down so can't fairly comment on how good he is. Howver, the winner of the award for most hated pundit does to .......that total utter bastard Tommy Smyth. All US expats will know who I mean and if you don't you will when you tune to ESPN for the World Cup next year.
