Was at The Strip last night seeing some friends who had come in. Was at the Mirage Casino sports book hoping to catch the fight but they only show these things pay per view (even at the casinos where they do a so called 'closed circuit' room screening). Still great atmosphere during a fight night all over town, draws so many more tourists in, even if the vast majority are not even watching it. Hoards of Philippinos milling about just as it was with Mancs when Hatton was here! Roll on the Mayweather-Pacman showdown...

Hmmm.....very start stop on my end

I was about 10 when the original was aired and it was scary. They just showed both the original series as a build up for the new version. The second season they aired was utter crap compared to the first - and much lower budget too - the aliens didn't even speak funny. Just seen the second episode from the new series. It might be pretty good actually. Has Juliette from Lost and the yummy bird who played the 'space prostitute' in Firefly (another good series) if you ever saw that.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Channel 4 News Goodies Blackadder II Bottom Bodger & Badger

Very hit or miss (and that goes for any other fast food franchise). How much are footlongs over there in England? $5.00 here.

Just watched it and found a good quote from timesonline which sums it up perfectly IMO - If The Execution of Gary Glitter was a satire on public hysteria over paedophilia, Chris Morris’s Brass Eye special did it better eight years ago. If it was supposed to be a discussion of the morality of the death penalty, a revival of the old Granada Hypotheticals format might have been the way to go. If it was intended as anti-capital punishment propaganda, the ends did not justify the degrading means. Shame on Four.

One of the streaming sites linked above will not allow me to view the stream as it's 'not available in my area'? WTF?

Dexter Season 4 is about halfway through here. And it's still very good. Just started the new 'V' sci-fi series last week. (Anyone remember the 80's original version?) Not sure if it's going to be any good yet. Unfortunately Curb Your Enthusiasm is just going through the motions now. Hasn't been 'great' for a couple of seasons, but they have got Jerry Seinfeld as a regular this season which is a bit better.

Yeah, that's the only game I've been to this season (almost missed kick off as I'm sure many did!) and hope he remains as ineffective as he did that day.

There's a lump of something in the back of my throat now too.

Any tie so we get to the 3rd round surely...then have some fun! Anyway, Akinfenwa offers great comedic value...big lad!

Always mesmerized by that film as a kid. Those wheelie dudes were especially scary IMO.

Very. Especially when it's played like this - Here's an anthem for space. Brian Eno - An Ending (Ascent) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOgQyIMX_XU

Out of interest, can you draw up a list of comparable non-religious buildings deemed 'artistic' and then prove that their construction was totally humane? Besides, what is preventing us from appreciating the human engineering, artistic talent and asthetic pleasure it gives me.... but also feeling a bit bad for the nature of it's construction? I could do that. You are dismissing the nature of an artist's or artisan's own unique style and interpretation because the subject matter just happens to be religious (whether they were ordered to to do it or not)?

So I order Setanta. I drive home at lunch and see that the DTV schedule showed no sign of it. CAlled Setanta and said not to worry - "just record the Champions League game and program after it", which I did, went back to work for a couple of hours, back home, beers and watched a very satisfying game of footy! I know the Brighton game isn't listed but I emailed Setanta to ask if they could...seeing as there are no other live games at the same time that Sunday. Knowing them though, another round of repeated ManureTV or ChelskiTV guff will be shown instead...but hey ho, at least they showed us today! Thanks for the head's up on Setanta xtra...didn't realise they include an additional 'channel'. Shall watch Blackburn destroy Poopey for a great start to the weekend.

Genius Rut! I didn't even think of looking there! I'll order Setanta for a month for this and the WC playoffs...and the possibility of them showing the Brighton game next week!
