  1. Right, so just made up, fair enough.
  2. If he was forced to play youth players why didn't Turnbull or Stephens get a game ahead of Yoshida or Hooiveld? I can't think of many times a youth player has taken preference over a better senior player. No doubt MP would like a load of money to strengthen. Every manager in the country would.
  3. Shaw and Schneiderlin both turned down CL clubs?
  4. Decent scouting? How many teams towards the top of the Premier League source their key players from the German 2nd division?
  5. Some unproven potential from France or Germany? Who knows they'd deliver for us. Comfortably exceed double figures of goals and assists in their first season of Premier League football? Who knows.
  6. So if you don't consider either Lambert or Osvaldo as 'reasonably efficient' can you give us some examples of the kind of striker you're talking about?
  7. So it's just that easy? Why wasn't Osvaldo scoring a hatful over his time in the team?
  8. Where have I suggested we're starting from scratch? I'm not sure what your point is though.
  9. Suarez has been brilliant this season, as has Sturrudge, Sterling, Gerrard, Coutinho very good as well, for us to assemble a team to get into the top 4, we would need some serious expediture.
  10. So about £40m of expenditure?
  11. Exactly. MP has done a good job for us and he seems to enjoy working with young up and coming players, but its easy to get carried away.
  12. I feel sorry for the bloke, comes across as a decent chap and some of the p**s taking is a bit unecessary. There's plenty of people at UNited who should hang their head in shame the way he's been hung out to dry, whoever in their boardroom who was leaking stuff yeterday to try and force his resignation, the players that under-performed throughout and Ferguson who chose the manager then hung around the scene adding very little himself.
  13. Sorry for pointing out where you're wrong, I didn't realise it bothered you that much. You can carry on with your thread now.
  14. But the point is Southampton isn't really a blip, so it's a bit of a non-story.
  15. No issue with teenage pregnancy in the UK or no issue with Southampton having particularly unusual stats (your opening point)?
  16. So the only other working class city (for want of a better team) of similar size in the area. That makes sense then and doesn't suggest Southampton is particularly out of trend.
  17. Like where? Looks like most working class, provincial cities got similar results?
  18. Southampton as a city is still made up of plenty of working-class areas, the areas around it are generally comfortable, rural middle England, guess that's the difference really.
  19. Drowned out? They weren't making much noise themselves. If you think that is very loud, god knows what you think of the games when we actually have decent, loud support.
  20. Do you honestly think we were very loud on Saturday? How would you describe our support at Fulham this year then? Or Spurs away last season?
  21. Sour Mash

    Clyne

Have Hooiveld and Yoshida even played together in a league game together this season?
  22. A sad day indeed when you can no longer copy and paste tweets onto the forum.
  23. Yes, additional cost understandably hits people. I was just wondering which benefits had been taken away to lead to a drop of 700 tickets that your refernced in your post.
  24. That doesn't make sense. You'd end up paying out more across the course of the season. If you were a season ticket holder and wanted to buy a guest a ticket four times across the course of the season, you'd have also been able to buy a guest a ticket for the United game wouldn't you?
