Depends what the context of "batting away calls" was said. Sounds to me just like a turn of phrase to tell the listener we're not interested in selling, standard response that doesn't mean much either way.
-
How is it quite different to what Reed said?
-
Good post, but most fans will gloss over anything while things look good on the pitch.
-
Blame who? For what?
-
Pretty much every player in the world is for sale. Let's wait and see and can make a judgement come middle of August.
-
For many? What era is ending? F**ks sake, over-dramatisation or what.
-
So if a top 4 club come in and offer massive money and he decides he wants to talk to them and pushes a bit for a move, it's who's fault exactly?
-
Lallana isn't the most articulate or clearest of speakers at the best of times, so who knows, it doesn't exactly come naturally to all people, stood in front of a big crowd and talking about your career without ever over committing. Having said that you would have thought they would have prepped the questions and got neat answers sorted. The bits I saw looked a bit disorganised, Chamberlain wasn't as good as he is on Monday Night Football. Did MP do an interview? Repeat of his English bit last season?
-
Why would it mean others would follow? Clubs can sometimes sell one player and not others, it's quite a normal thing to happen. Why would it make you question the people in charge?
-
Yep, it almost justifies his point further (ironically and not deliberately) his voters feel no connection to the output from the European Parliament. Votes for UKIP will be based on immigration, the subject avoided for too long by all the major parties.
-
Erm, I have followed the conversation. No-one cares. It's irrelevant.
-
Why? People trust him because of the way he talks and comes over in his interviews, unless he's doing something really dodgy with his expenses, no-one is going to care or have the way they vote affected by it.
-
I turned onto Youtube coverage, saw Steve Bennett reading out random tweets and have turned it straight off. Anything entertaining on yet?
-
How many times Farage turns up or not doesn't really matter, that's not the over-riding reason why people will vote or not for UKIP.
-
On a sort of related note, there is a podcast on the Coaching Manual website all about our academy, interviews with Jason Dodd, Terry Moore and Andy Marks, not listened to it myself yet though.

Fair point, an example of football just being a reflection of modern society I guess........

Guly pretty much confirms he is leaving Saints this summer
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So which player was saying that those three were definitely leaving? Which clubs are they moving to and for how much? -
But the media have been running a fair few negative articles on UKIP. It might not be a fully tied together concerted effort, but I think there has been attemps to discredit them as a party, with little effort to understand and report on why they might be having some success. No-one can view that as good journalism. For what it's worth, UKIP should be secretly pleased - it's a sign that they've arrived as a reasonably significant player and are getting the associated level of attention.

It's clearly nothing racial is it. The only weird thing about Do Prado is the polar views of so many on him, he's either an absolute hero or absolute villain, when in all reality he is not really close to being either. -
I don't know why a football ground needs to play any music at any time to be honest.

Genuinely a hard call as to where he'd end up, been in England long enough to be settled here and could well do a job for a lower Championship side, even wonder if someone like Reading might take a punt on him. -
F****ng hell, you've got to wonder about the mental stability of some of our support.
-
The OP yet another of example of someone not understanding why UKIP appeals to so many. Why should anyone really care what this random blokes mad opinions are? They're not ever going to be implemented in government are they?
-
We've varied our kits a lot more than most clubs, towards the point where it will stop becoming clear what is a "Saints kit", losing our identity in a small way.

Tells a bit of a story that it is so clear cut in terms of best XI this season, just goes to further show how much we further options throughout the side.
