Good. Hopefully it'll stop him jumping on a moral bandwagon again.

I think its more idealistic cuckoo land to think change will come from the top. It's not a 'fans collective' that is being suggested, but turning the club's own use of market forces back against them. Whether enough people will do that or not is another matter.

All fairly interesting stuff, but I'm not sure what it has to do with ticket prices being too high?
-
Still plenty of Bundesliga tickets around the £40 mark. Premier League clubs charge what they can, pretty much the same as the majority of other football clubs around the world. Unless you can increase supply or reduce demand, clubs will charge what they believe they can get for their tickets.
-
Of course money from ticket sales isn't "incidental". It might make up a smaller amount of income compared to tv money, but it is still a very significant revenue stream that club's are very much bothered about.
-
Hardly hypocritical is it? They didn't set the prices for our game.
-
There's been plenty of games this season that have been cheap though?
-
But that's not the problem is it - Villa at home, Newcastle at home and the Arsenal game, there didn't seem to be too much a problem with the other players reading what he was trying to do. The problem is him not getting involved enough in tough, tight away games, when a moment of genius is often needed, but instead the game just passed him by, like at Villa on Saturday.
-
Thought he was being a bit busy and jumping on the bandwagon. Couldn't see anything to suggest they weren't going to go over and applaud their fans.
-
Not really as it was pretty much the same for the whole 90mins. Look at Leeds away last season how much effort our support put into getting behind the side when we were seriously hanging onto a lead in a 'nervous' situation.
-
No-one has turned on Ramirez though have they. He gets a disproportionately high level of support from our fans every game.
-
What a found odd was after the final whistle, once the home end was nearly empty and players going off the pitch, we suddenly livened up and made an absolute racket.
-
Was a good turnout numbers wise, but it was quiet over where I was (furthest right, lower tier). Didn't think we were that loud at all - see Fulham away 2nd half for what was outstanding support.

Is it okay for Saints players to dive and cheat?

Swung his boot at Rodriguez which would have had a fair amount of impact if Rodriguez hadn't got his leg out of the way. -

So you don't think the Villa defenders actions constituted a foul? -
Ah right. Can you let us know which players will be good enough for us to see the best of him? And when we're going to be signing these players? It didn't seem a problem in the home games against Villa, Newcastle and Arsenal.

Don't think it was a dive. If a defender stabs his foot out, why should the attacker just let it hit him? -
Yeah saw that. One of the things I like about him, seems to enjoy having the opposition support on his back and enjoyed winding them up, he killed a good bit of time with his time wasting at the end of the 2nd half.
-
More players his level? Shaw, Cork, Schneiderlin, Puncheon, Lambert, Rodriguez - not exactly mugs are they, some pretty intelligent and talented players there
-
You joke mate, but in yesterday's 2nd half I'd have rather had Chaplow on than Ramirez or De Ridder.

Could tell he looked a bit rusty and hadn't played for a few weeks. Worked bloody hard mind. -

Think a '5' is right for RL. Particularly 2nd half, he was neither striker nor midfielder and we got neither from him. Frustrating. -

Did you watch the game? Worse problems than Boruc in our squad. I take it you all realise how much of the 5mins of time added on he managed to waste? -

Thought we really struggled against supposedly a 'sh1t' Vill' side. 2nd half they hammered us, if they had a finisher,we'd have lost by a couple. Thought out back four were excellent, missing key players, but worked so hard. The negatives: No ball retention 2nd half; Lambert not knowing or able to execute his role 2nd half; Ramriez being annonymous ; Rodriguez lacking the arrogant confidence of a Prem strikers. Our support not get going till well after the final whistle. Positives- Finally grinding out a win, despite not playing great; Rodriguez running, tons of threat and effort; shutting up the gobby Villa *****s to our right.
