What exactly did he do/say that was so wrong? Who else should the media contact to hear Supporters' views?
-
Think it's safe to say this wasn't an "Adkins signing".
-
How many businesses that are based on "consumers" completely ignore the views of their core customers? Football clubs are lucky that their customers put up for it, but football fan's patience isn't infinite. And the club does still belong to us. In Italy and Germany, fans know how important they are and wield their power accordingly. Without fans there is no club.

This is still probably my favourite post of the day. Great all round thread as well. -
#Prayfortheforum is now 'trending on twitter I hear.
-
Keep making stuff up if you want. I don't think anyone takes you seriously anyway.
-
When do you expect him to walk onto the pitch?
-
I've read most of the threads on the forum today and have hardly seen any Xenophobia at all. Secondly, what is wrong with disliking him for being an Argie? What is the difference between that and giving someone stick for being an ex-Skate for example?
-
I'm sure you were one of the posters singing the praises of Cortese non-stop not too long ago and now you want to write to the owners
-
-
Exactly this. Sad to see how quickly some fans lap up the modern football business world.
-
Why do you continue to post made up lies on this forum? When we were stuck in the bottom 3 getting s**t results, where were all the songs about getting rid of Adkins? Or have you just made that up? The whole point is we're not fickle.

Protests, booing, boycotts are Not going to Help us Move on
Sour Mash replied to Crowds's topic in The Saints
Clubs acting in this way is just another step for me and a lot of my mates towards feeling we've had enough of football and the way it's run these days. Hopefully Cortese can fill the seats we've been in for the last 30 years with enough Japanese tourists to keep his push for Champions League football alive. -

No-one is going to "boo the team" are they FFS! -
Hardly any Xenophibia on any of these threads. Media have been prety unannimous on the decision, if you can't see that, you're on a wind up. Even when we were on a terrible run Adkins was backed by the fans and there was a genuine bond there between the two. So basically your WHOLE post is wrong.

So just roll over and accept ay decision made by the club? The fans make the club and it'll be very clear how we feel on Sky on Monday night. -
Exactly. For all I know we might win more games under this fella than Adkins, but that's missing the point. I couldn't care less about chasing some sort of Champions League dream at all costs.
-
Yes, I know mate, you've been one of the one's who've posted in the past with first hand info, I know people who worked for him, as do quite a few others that I know. But people didn't care then, they do now. We all know that football can be a ruthless game, but loyalty and treating people right still carries plenty of weight in my world and most of the Saints fans I go to games with.
-
Exactly this. Saints fans crack me up creaming themselves about going onto the next level and all that bo**cks. Adkins suited us down to the ground, can't put a price on the value of a club being united behind it's manager.
-
No it hasn't. Look at Wenger at Arsenal.
-
Fine, but you can never complain about lack of loyalty from a player or manager again.
-
Exactly. Most Saints fans I know aren't bothered about "going onto the next level" whatever the f**k that means - they just want a decent, honest, hard-working club that will have a crack - exactly what we were doing under Adkins and one of the reasons why he was so popular with the fans - there is more to supporting a football club than just winning games.
-
Why? Not being funny, but he's been treating non-playing members of staff in the same way for the last 3 years, none of you gave a f**k then.

Exactly. This forum makes me laugh. Refuse to believe news from national journalists. Worship Cortese and ignore what those of us ITK said about him. And are now winging when things turn out how they didn't expect them. This is what all you Cortese fans have wanted. Chasing the Champions LEague dream. Remember where we were 3 years ago etc, etc...... -
This forum never ceases to CRACK me up! This morning there is a rumour most don’t like the sound of, so it is dismissed as bulls**t, a wind-up. And now the decision has been made, loads are moaning and crying. This is what many of you wanted. You wanted the Cortese dream, continental style, chasing some Champions League unobtainable utopia, well now you’ve got it. A fair few of us on here have warned you MANY times about Cortese and his attitude to staff and were dismissed as wind up merchants etc, despite the fact our sources were people that were close to the club. Well now you can all see for yourselves.
