No he didn't.

Not sure how you can say Adkins had taken us as far as he could, when we've been constantly moving up the table in the last two months, improving all the time and have just been one of only 3 teams in Premier League history to come from.2-0 behind at Stamford Bridge. If you're not 'passive' are there any decisions made by the club in the last 3 years that you don't agree with?
-
And this opening post is going to affect the players how exactly?
-
That's fair enough. None of us would want to take your usual role on the forum from you.
-
I can't think of too many cases whereby the incoming manager admits to watching us for weeks, is announced as our new manager at the same time as Adkins is told he has been sacked (from some reports by seeing it reported on tv). No-one is saying modern football doesn't have a fairly ruthless aspect to it, but the morals of this are s***e regardless.

They'd bend over and accept anything from Cortese for the merest of sniff of the Champions League Don't matter about p****g off the match going loyal fans, we'll fill their places with tourists from Gloucester and Japan.
-
And I've asked you how the atmosphere would be the same? Are we going to be booing our striker? Or booing our new manager? If you're the sort of person who's opinions change by "sleeping on it" rather than having an actual solid and viable reason, then the words "plastic" and "transient" do seem to fit I'm afraid.

There is far more to it than just the scarves. Still hear the songs. And FC United is still very much alive and kicking. And as I say, so what if it doesn't make a difference, at least they've got the minerals to stand up for their principles and the way their club is run.
-
No, how is actually going too affect the players? In the real world, not on a Wikipedia link.
-
It's certainly not "non-existant". Hard to keep the momentum up year, on year. And so what if it doesn't make a difference, at least they've got enough about them to stand up and try to articulate how they feel about the way their club is run, regardless of how many trophies they may or may not win.
-
And how is a couple of people posting that on a forum going to affect the players exactly?
-
Exactly that. Certain posters on here would accept absolutely anything for the merest sniff of the Champions League, sums up everything that is wrong with modern football!
-
They sing plenty of anti-Glazer songs. How has it affected their performances on the pitch?
-
Exactly. Plenty on here trying to rewrite history in an attempt to get the situation to work for them.
-
Cortese and his followers on here think they're going to fill St Marys with football tourists from Japan and Cornwall once they've f****d Saints core support off, good luck with that.
-
Show me one single post on this forum where someone has said they won't get behind the players?
-
Why keep comparing us to Chelsea? Our situations and responses are completely different. Man Utd fans have done protests against the Glazers for a while now, how has that affected their on the pitch performances? It's a sad day, when our support appears more plastic and transient than Chelsea. If supporter's opinions and attitude is so important to the club, maybe Cortese should have considered that before making this decision?
-
Spot on. Thats how all the Saints fans I know feel on this.
-
I'd suggest you ask yourself why, after all the positive things that have happened under NC, why many fans have no time for him. There is a lot more to a football club than just winning games.
-
1) No, it doesn't. 2) Doesn't make it right.
-
No, not throughout football. Like I say, they won't be the first or last to do it, doesn't make it right.
-
Exactly. Speaks volumes about their approach to life and the people they work with. Sadly that means little to some of the fans on here as they dream of the Champions League....
-
I think you'll find they were. They knew Adkins was currently in the job, grafting as hard as he could for the club, while they took their several weeks to watch the team, negotiate their contracts, and move over here. I know they're not the first or last to do that kind of thing, but as I say, pretty iffy morals regardless.
-
Chelsea style atmosphere? Are we going to be booing our striker? No. Are many suggesting booing the new manager? No. Has Man Utd's protests against their board affected their performances on the pitch? No.
-
We were never going to be extinct. Is there ANY decision from Cortese you wouldn't be happy with?
