  1. I'm sure his £1m + a year will keep him going for a bit.
  2. So should NC care about supporter's opinions or not? We're told on this thread that he does what he wants and our opinions don't matter, but then we're also told that we can't say or do anything "negative" due to the impact it might have. You can't have it both ways.
  3. If we lost tomorrow, then again at United, but beat Wigan, I don't think fans would be up in arms about those results at all. If we lose at Wigan things might start to turn, but I don't expect that to happen.
  4. Right, so how is Cortese losing out financially? Apart from maybe not getting a fat bonus on-top of his already huge salary?
  5. And I thought that Cortese didn't care what fans did as we had no impact? So which one is it? Are we to be valued and are views and support considered worthwhile? Or can Cortese just ignore us and do what he wants?
  6. So Man Utd's anti-Glazier protests affected their on the pitch performances? Some things are more important to a football club than a one-off 3 points anyway.
  7. Discontent? Fans will always have a moan after a bad result, no-one wanted Adkins out or anything remotely like that.
  8. NC doesn't really have a massive amount to lose financially does he? You seem to be missing the point of many fans anger - for many of us, it's not based on whether this new chap will be a decent manager or not (I think he might be alright actually), it's the way it was done and the way Adkins has been treated, some of us aren't fussed about becoming yet another "win at all costs" club. I'm sure across the forum their may be a few posts saying they might have a pop at the new manager, but I've seen very few and they must be in a real minority.
  9. Right, so we're agreed that support shown for Adkins won't affect the team? And it's not rocket science to be able to divorce criticism for the chairman and still support the manager. Happens all the time in football, when fans are against the person running the club, but support the manager even if he was appointed by the same board. They are two different people. With different names. And different roles. And a different background at the club. If we're rock-bottom in April, then I'd unfortunately expect the new boss to be quite rightly getting some stick.
  10. Maybe, but that's clearly not the case here, as the club seem happy for any positive messages to be posted. Shaw's tweet was hardly derogatory about the club, but he obviously felt for whatever reason he had to delete it. Not very many "real world" jobs where the company monitors what employees put on their personal social media.
  11. ANd by the sound of it scouting/picking new transfer targets for a while. Unbelievable.
  12. Yeah Henry Winter and co. should "shut his mouth" He is a well respected football journalist, asked for his opinion. He won't be right on everything, but he offers a pretty intelligent, fair, neutral viewpoint into the game.
  13. I know Glasgow is on a wind up, but don't find the suggestion beyond the realms of possibility. Someone obviously told Luke Shaw to delete his tweet from Friday.
  14. Right, so why aren't you posting that to all the posters that are terrified any protest on Monday might affect our team? And it will achieve my goal of simply letting them know how I feel about the way the club is run, so I'm not worried about that.
  15. Exactly. There are so many posters on these threads just making stuff up to suit their own point of view.
  16. Yes, I know the Glazers still own the club, that wasn't my question though.
  17. No, thats the point of the article, they don't care, but they should. A lot of people I know are getting slowly, but surely, p*****d off with the world of modern football, fan's patience isn't unlimited.
  18. Yeah, it's a media conspiracy, they've all got it in for us. Those red top hacks at places like, er, The Telegraph and Guardian......
  19. Why do people keep on comparing any protest to Chelsea? Ostensibly anyone proposing to boo our striker, like Torres? Are many planning on booing the new manager like Benitez? No. So it's not really comparable at all. What affect did Man Utd's anti-Glazer protests have on their on the pitch performance?
  20. How did Man United's Anti-Glazer protests affect their performances on the pitch?
  21. Agree, don't know what 'supporters mission' is all about, but the overall point is right in my opinion. And the example of Chelsea is a very good one - despite winning the Champs League they are slowly running out of patience at being ignored and treated with contempt. A practical/realistic way of solving that? I'm really not sure.
  22. Exactly this. Can't believe I'm agreeing with everything you're saying on this!
  23. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9813415/Henry-Winter-even-rich-owners-like-Nicola-Cortese-and-Roman-Abramovich-need-the-fans.html Well summed up by Henry Winter.
  24. Yeah, cheers for that, I didn't realise Ferguson didn't do the accounting at Old Trafford And it potentially hasn't worked at Saints, so I assume you are losing quite a bit of sleep.
  25. It was obviously a typo. But good try at covering up the fact you're making stuff up.
