Know a fair few people that have lived in Tokyo over the last 10 years and all say it was never cheap at the best of times. How much does it differ in the provincial cities? Guess it'll be no different to all the other places Saints have been pre-season, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway......
-
Is the current website that bad? On the basis that the ticketing side of it will actually be sorted out? What's the difference between 'old' and 'new'?
-
I haven't actually. You're free to send and post whatever you want.
-
How much did Brighton's fairly rubbish ground take to build? Close to £100m wasn't it?
-
Enough extra money to justify the costs of moving? How much would St Marys be sold for in relation to land outside the city being bought for?
-
I don't, but different comparison. Not the same need/culture of going to the pub before and after a day of cricket as there is with the football. More staggered arrival and departure times as well.
-
Why would we make significantly more money out of town than in the city? Cost of land in Hampshire is what?
-
Derby isn't out of town, it is walkable from the town centre (just) and has plenty of pubs close by. Where could Saints rtealistically build a sizeable ground? Remember in one of the most nimby parts of the country.
-
Very unlikely, very impractical and expensive. St Marys is within reasonable walking distance of 3 train stations (one main one), how many other grounds, particularly out of London can say that?
-
Us building out of town will never happen and should never happen. We're in the heart of the city, close to the club's history, pubs and takeaways, transport links aren't *that* bad. Where would be a practical place for us to move to? How many clubs with out of town grounds have really propered? Reading done ok, but others hav certainly struggled.......

I'm particularly glad you're enjoying my posts, that always makes it worthwhile.

I'll waste whoever's time I want thank you very much

Can you imagine? "You ruined by b***dy thread you b@stard!!"
-
You want me to PM you my number

I think you'll find if you can get over your anger, that I am one of the few posters to actually answer your question (see post 19). If this is your reaction to someone asking you to clarify your question, then I'd hate to see your reaction if someone actually took the p**s out of you (which I'm also happy to do, just to be clear).
-
Why the abuse and anger? I simply asked to clarify the question, was it really that much to ask?
-
I'm always getting approached to become a mod, but I prefer to remain simply "one of the people". I'm very humble like that.

Thanks for the detailed replied. For what it's worth and in all seriousness, I like Liverpool, a city full of character, most do know their football and is far more interesting place to go than the current identikit city centres that are found in many other comparable cities. Going back to the football side of it, I think a lot of Liverpool fans (and to a lesser extent Everton fans) need to take a step back and start trying to enjoy their football again without everything having to be a great political statement, or showing the world how big the chip on their shoulder is.

Is that a "yes" or a "no"?
-
Ah gutted! I do agree though, so many *****s that ruin it for the rest of us! Why can't that add interesting, well thought out contributions to threads like you have with this one?
-
Another team going for back to back promotions today...

Is this Saints related? What has happened to the standard of moderation on here these days? -
Jesus f****g wept. Are we meant to be taking this thread seriously or not?
-
What personal stuff? I don't even know you to write anything personal about you. Your opening question wasn't clear to put it mildly. Are you asking if we are going to start expansion work now?
-
The answer to are we going to expand now is a bit more certain than "probably not" isn't it? Unless they're sneaking a few cranes and bulldozers into St Marys as we speak?
