But then to be fair, Ferguson congratulated Man City after their game, doesn't mean he isn't biased! In all seriousness though, I agree, he is a good appointment, just an "interesting" more than anything, would always have had him down as going into the Man Utd coaching side rather than England. And definitely an improvement on Kevin Bond!

Coverage of this appears nothing but positive, despite him being a proud anti-scouse Manc and the player that led the threat to strike after the Rio Ferdinand drugs ban. Odd that everyone now loves him as he's been in a few decent appearances as a pundit.

On the subject of Football related Twitter 'TheBig_Sam' has been excellent of late

Yep, scored a load as well if I remember right. And Le Tiss sung the Sinatra "I did it my way" or have I completely imagined that?
-
Exactly. Can't believe anyone doesn't find him at least a bit entertaining even if they think he's a cock.
-
What do you reckon Barton has on Lineker? Or would we be on dodgy grounds in terms of libel even mentioning it?
-
I normally moan about keepers being too well protected in the modern game, but that was a joke of a decision. Probably balanced out QPR's disallowed goal from their game at the Reebok though, so over the course of the season it might even itself out. Thinking about it and from Mark Hughes'quotes, I can't see QPR being as bad next season, it'll be a stronger Prem all round I reckon.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

Can't see that in any way, shape or form. Although got a feeling Liverpool will shift him on. -
Can never make up my mind about Barton. Not as good a footballer as he thinks he is or as bright as he fancies himself to be. Stitched his club and team mates up yesterday and very lucky it worked out the way it did. He is entertaining though, regardless of what else you might think of him.

I thought that. PA music is bad enough at a time like that, but what a f*****g choice. Out of all the songs in the whole to pick, what an utterly rubbish one.
-
Mixed views from the Rangers fans on there. At least they're a bit more respectful about Saints than some of the Celtic lot.
-
Different class as a neutral. Won't do the Premier League/Shy brand any harm either!
-
What a f*****g game for a neutral ha ha!
-
Bolton to stay up. Never liked QPR fans for some reason. Plus rip off match ticket prices.
-
Exactly, one of those myths that has developed and keeps getting repeated. Quite enjoy games getting moved occasionally for the novelty factor anyway.
-
Just seen those photos, f**ks sake, modern day footballers.

A lot of men don't do "man hugs" I can see NC being one of them to be fair!

Even if this story is true, no way in the world that Cortese will get rid of Adkins now. Having said that, what will tell us a bit more is how much he backs Adkins in transfers and what would happen if we find ourselves in the bottom 3 at Xmas.....
-
What argument? I just stated a fact. I know we took a lot to Palace and Peterborough.
-
True. But then our support at Boro is a worthwhile question in terms of expansion. Our biggest game in many, many years at the time and we only sold 75% of available tickets.
-
Likely they'd have watched a game, but could equally have been over meeting with other players/agents/managers etc. Holland is exactly the sort of place we should be looking for Premier League quality bargains.

Season Tickets 'how many will we sell next season'
Sour Mash replied to djharvey's topic in The Saints
18,500. At least 500 will knock it on the head due to cost, plenty of others will fancy a guaranteed seat in the Prem. -
Considered I've been labelled on here "unambitious" etc, I'd definitely say "no", I think we are better than that and will strengthen over the seaon. Having said that, I think the Prem will be stronger in 2012/13 than it was this season just gone.
