Surely it's hard to argue with £15 a game for an adult and child? Hardly "pricing people out" is it?
-
You're an utter wrong'un, like a fair few on here. Some genuinely think that a few years inside is fair punishment for what these lads did, which is what the debate is here, not whether or not they were stupid (which most agree on!).
-
Steve - You got the link for where this story is from?
-
I've brought this up on here before. I really don't get why he's ALWAYS taken off with about a third of the game still to go, can't do his confidence much good and a rest for Lambert as a change should have been tried.

The vast, vast majority of people out today and tonight celebrating St George's Day will be celebrating what makes England great. You will always get a few idiots who will spoil it by being abusive, but they'll be hugely in the minority.
-
I would hate St George's Day to become like St Paddys day. Loads of idiots out in stupid hats who don't care or know anything about Ireland. Much better being able to enjoy the day with people who it actually means something to, rather than loads of tw*ts jumping on the bandwagon.

My favourite world cup. Gutted as was much too young to travel over, sounds like a cracking trip.
-
You clearly struggle to read or write basic English, you illiterate fool.
-
Well stop commenting then, as you don't have a clue. It is very possible (although not definite) that someone could quite realistically get something like 12-14 months jail time for shaking a fence. That is why people are annoyed. Everyone agrees that these people should have behaved and walked away. What gets me extremely frustrated is the level of resources put into to prosecuting these people and the hugely disproportionate punishments they will be given for thier crimes, especially considered in relation to so many other things that go on in our society. The vast majority wouldn't have expected to be facing the sentences that they will get, I guess they were naive and stupid.
-
Don't take this the wrong way mate, but you seem to have a fairly minimal understanding of the law and the way our judicial system works, especially regarding charges such as affray and violent disorder. Worth having a read up on it sometime.
-
Oh FFS, no-one is suggesting these lads are going to be representing Southampton at the next Mensa conference, of course it was bloody stupid. A few blokes got carried away in the heat of the moment, lost thier heads a bit, when as you say they should have walked away, yes they should probably be punished for it, but no-where near to the extent that some on here are suggesting (and unfortunately I'm not expecting any common sense of fairness from the authorities on this one). Just a good job there are no burglars, muggers, rapists on the loose in this country that all this funding and resources could be better spent on, but that is another debate......
-
Yep, just re-read it, but I'm afraid nothing has changed, I still think you're crackers. Wish I could help.
-
Yes I can read you lunatic. They have been charged with violent disorder, that carries a maximum sentence of 5 years. Consider what you write, rather than the usual misinformed, lazy, incorrect garbage. :smt026
-
So you think potentially someone should get 5 years in prison for shaking a fence after a game of football? You're bonkers.
-
No, the vast majority arrested would not have expected to be looking at 2 years in prison for a what most see as a fairly minor confrontation. They've been really unlucky in my opinion and I hope (but do not expect) that the British Justice system uses some common sense.
-
Of course the police can keep away fans in the ground ffs, happens at pretty much all big derby games. And the majority of those arrested probably didn't know the consequences, so that point is wrong as well.
-
Well tell him to do some proper police work.
-
The BNP and Griffin are a useless bunch of idiots. Which is a pity, as real issues regarding immigration and multi-culturism will never be properly addressed by the 3 main parties.
-
But how/why wasn't that known at the point they went into Administration? I don't get it. How hard would it have been for one of the relevant authorities to clarify either way?
-
Thanks. One would assume the HMRC are doing as you say, but we've been hearing for months now about this "killer blow", so far the HMRC have struck me as a typical, inefficient, public sector bureaucracy being given the run around by people a lot sharper than them. We'll just have to wait and see, but at the moment they're getting away with it.
-
How is this not fraud? All seems far too easy to dupe the system to me?
-
Right, thanks for sharing that with us. Is that your way of saying you think she's "fit"?
-
Exactly. Hope she was ok, but women, especially 70 year olds should not be on the terraces at football.
-
Will be an utter nightmare getting tickets for the away game without a doubt.
-
Its definitely the fastest route if you're not coming into Waterloo, not sure if you get charged more for going that way, think you do.
