  1. Very good support, I'd put them in the top 5 in the country numbers wise and decent vocal support by today's standards.
  2. But willthey actually get the additional minus 2 points, as they went into admin while in the Prem and not in the FL? Different situation to Bournemouth and Rotherham.
  3. Fair enough. So how would you measure "within reason"? What for you would be an acceptable level of immigration into the UK?
  4. Yeah, I'd pretty much agree with that. Carlisle, Huddersfield, Hartlepool, Oldham, Orient, Walsall, Norwich and Northampton were all top days out. Worst for me was Leeds, Colchester, Wycombe, Swindon, probably put stockport in there as well. Brighton and Exeter were sh**e games, but decent enough days out and had a good drink. All the others somewhere inbetween.
  5. You completely miss my point. My post was in response to the one stating that it was simply a case of if an individual felt they were going to have a better quality of life, then they should be allowed to move to this country. So if half the population of China or Africa decided tomorrow that in their own opinion it would improve their quality of life, then they should be allowed to move to the South East tommorrow (regardless of whether it did actually improve their quality of life or not). My point is that regardless of whether you are "for" or "against" immigration, any one with common sense agrees that there must be some sort of restriction on immigration into the country. It is simply at what point does that immigration level become "too much". My personal opinion is that parts of England have reached that point over the last 20/30 years. That doesn't make me a racist and I won't be voting for the BNP, but I can certainly understand the frustrations of many of those that will vote for them.
  6. Exactly. I hate this (fairly recent) rise in nationalism from those that class themselves as being 'English', 'Scottish' or 'Welsh'. I am English and British. We have far greter history together as one entity, than as seperate states. It was Great Britain that fought two world wars. It was a British Empire. The industrial revolution and all that went with it was intrinsically "British", not English/Welsh/Scottish etc. Devolution is something that many clever politicians have played upon in recent years in order to secure themselves power and have used the easy and obvious divide to get themselves very comfy jobs, doing relatively little in return. Not so long ago a scottish tax payer would be paying to cover the costs associated with having a local MP and the local council etc. Now they still have to cover these costs, as well as everything that goes with the Scottish Parliament and having an MEP and all the expenses that goes with them.
  7. Lovely idea in theory, but completely impractical and unrealistic in practice. On that basis you think half the population of China should be allowed to move to the South East of England?
  8. Underhill, Barnet. Easy.
  9. The majority around me stood in gormless, half-interested silence for the whole game.
  10. Maybe "poor" is a little unfair. The majority of teams are s****te these days, especially down at this level, I've always said the whole "lower leagues = better atmosphere" is a complete and utter myth.
  11. Pretty much how I see it. We were directly behind the goal on Sunday and the atmosphere was poor, with the majority around us completely silent. In general I think our vocal support is poor - which away games have been good this year? Maybe Hartlepool, Carlisle, Orient, MK Dons in the JPT off the top of my head stand out.
  12. Also, just to clarify regarding all those excited about the support we took to Wembley, there were loads of people around me who had brought their wife/kids/mates along for a day out, who were all clearly not regular match goers, but came along for a good day out at Wembley.
  13. Orient will bring plenty, a lot will make a day of it, new/big ground/away day for them, they'll have 2k+.
  14. Only individuals experiencing significant levels of retardation enjoy Mexican waves - FACT.
  15. After standing in the p*****g rain at the cup game, we've decided to opt for seats.
  16. Agreed, one of the worst ever sites at a game of football! Thought the Carlisle fans were half decent throughout considering the way the game went. I was surrounded by gormless Saints fans who were completely happy to stand in silence for 90 :smt102
  17. We thought we heard a few boos, but then thought that no-one could be THAT F******G STUPID.
  18. Great win. Great day. **** atmosphere only down side.
  19. What the f**k did you expect? And you paid a tenner for it :tfrag:
  20. Yeah, it's always hilarious, each time more funny than the last. Still chuckling about it being shouted at Brentford, truly football support at it's best.
  21. Great flag that. Will it be at Wembley?
  22. To be honest there aren't anywhere near as many spares floating around on here as I thought there would be. Relatively speaking out of the 44k, there have been a handful offered on here.
  23. The trouble at the garages after the skates game wasn't organised or pre-meditated in any way, so that automatically wipes out half of the rubbish you keep posting.
  24. Thank f**k we've got your expertise on here! No one is saying that football related disorder is ok or should be encouraged or even go without punishment. The simple point, that many feel, is that the punishment is disproportionate due to it being related to going to a game of football. A crime should be judged simply for what it is, not becasue it may or may not happen to be linked to a particular sporting event.
  25. So by that logic, you couldn't complain about the death penalty being dished out :smt038
