IF we go up the Ramsdale situation interests me. Given the Newcastle move hasn’t really worked out and they don’t want him would he be sat there thinking that if Saints go up he’s sorted and will return next season? I thought some of his excuses on that podcast were questionable - the squad was too big, Downes had health issues, Stewart got injured (who's fault was that Will?), I should have used Stephens differently - didnt explain how though. He had one game where yes he was desperately unlucky and that was home to Swansea where they were battered and some of the misses were unbelievable. But counter that by the lucky last minute injury time win home to Wrexham for arguments sake. Then all this i wanted to press but you cant play vertically in the Championship blah blah blah. I'm glad Ipswich are out the way. Aside from anything else they are a niggly lot and not facing them again is only good. Whatever happens at least after Saturday the players have a 6 or 7 day rest until the first play off game and lets face it, they need that recovery time. I doubt whether Tonda cares if we are home or away in the first leg, I think thats more of a fan thing. In our favour is that Wrexham have to beat Boro really so if we can win at Preston then 4th is certainly a strong possibility.

It bloody annoyed me that the commentators during the WBA v Ipswich game kept banging on about them going to Southampton on Tuesday and securing promotion. Not a single mention that any one of 4 teams could still get second if we win that one.
