Another issue with Russball is, just watching it, sucks the life out of you....well it does me. Looking at our next 5 home games up to and inc Boxing Day - Liverpool x 2, Chelsea, Spurs & West Ham - all of those are live on Sky/BT/Prime so where is the desire for us out of towners to actually not just put our tickets on the Exchange thing and stay home? Its not fun anymore and the entertainment value is almost nil.

I don’t think they believed we would get promoted at the first go for a minute. I think that’s knocked them off their plan which was rebuild in the Championship then come back stronger. So going up meant they had to spend money and there’s a fair chance a fair few of those signings were lined up if we were in the Championship, ie - Wood, Edwards, Bereton-Diaz (probably), Sugawara, Fraser, Lallana (based on him being at the play-off final as a guest of the club). This season they’ll view as a financial bonus given parachute payments are re-set. So I think they’ll stick with RM as they see him as the man who can build a team in the Championship and get us back up with a strong squad.

He has started 4 games for Southampton since he arrived, he has made 11 sub appearances, I suspect the minutes played in those barely add up to a full game. He has hit the woodwork what? 3 times? He has fed off scraps as nobody has seemingly worked out a ball at height into the box for a guy at 6ft 7 might be a good idea. His chances to score have been somewhat limited. We aren’t talking Che Adams here where he’s getting five chances a game to score 1 goal. I would love to see him get a start, partner Archer up front and have him as an outlet when we are under pressure but I doubt it will happen as it doesn’t fit Russball. Chris Wood would struggle to score playing RM’s style.

Well it wasn’t great but we hung in there and while Everton might count themselves a bit unlucky with a few chances they had I think we deserved at least a point. I thought Armstrong was poor apart from the goal. I did think RM got his subs just about right today, which was nice 😂

This is the most disappointing signing we've made this season. After he scored a few for an awful Sheff Utd side I really expected him to bang in a few for us. Wether its due to Russball or the position he plays out wide I dont know but he looks like a Sunday morning player who suffered the night before.

I wouldn't say its as bad as its ever been, its probably the most boring and one dimensional tho, as well as the most frustrating as I honestly believe with the correct tactics and subs changes we would have more points than now.

To be pedantic performances in parts of games have been better, quite good tbf BUT we dont sustain it and even if we do along comes the 60th minute and those subs that weaken and knock the life out of the team.
