  1. I'd love it for Puel to get a big win but from a Saints perspective, we could do with a Spurs equaliser
  2. Weird isn't it? He's not had the best career, only really succeeded at West Brom, but steps back into the hot seat at a club where he's popular and for some reason it just clicks.
  3. Poor Heisenberg, an Everton defeat, Silva getting thrashed and Puel winning, he'll be going on a golf hiatus
  4. Harry Redknapp v Ronald Koeman???
  5. The children of Portsmouth have been deprived of a top quality academy, since forever really, and so it is absolutely right of Southampton, as the premier club in the county, to ensure every child in the region has access to our top quality coaching and is able to fulfil their potential. In this time of goodwill, let's hope the people of Portsmouth are very grateful.
  6. What, lose 3-0?
  7. Lol, so the dugout pioneers, having originally wanted Simeone and Silva, interviewed Big Sam today
  8. We just scored 4, of course we're higher up now then a week ago! The key thing is the ability to consistently score goals
  9. 10 points
  10. Everton are the only team to take points off Man City this season, so we should just copy all of their tactics from recent matches... HOW did Man City NOT beat Everton??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? HOW did Redmond score there last season??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Also, their midweek games in the Champions League haven't provided them with as many goals as in the league. Maybe we can get something???
  11. Didn't Deschamps tell him he needed to play for a bigger team if he was going to be a regular for the national team? That worked out well for him. I'd have him back though.
  12. Rotate please. Play Gabbiadini up front, put in Lemina and Romeu and possibly PEH in CM and rest Davis. I'm sure Austin will want to play but we know fitness and injuries are an issue and the Bournemouth game is infinitely more important. I'd go FF Cedric VVD Hoedt Bert Lemina Romeu PEH Boufal Gabbiadini Tadic
  13. No, sell in the summer
  14. Forster wasn't to blame for the goal at all. He looked commanding from their rare set piece situations, hopefully that will give him some confidence. Obviously, he'll be a bit busier on Wednesday.
  15. Bournemouth away will be the big test. Play like we did today, with pace and attacking them directly, and we'll win. Man City result is irrelevant, as long as we play better than we did against Liverpool, a couple of shots on target would be nice.
  16. City losing at Huddersfield.
  17. It'll be interesting what they do in January. They essentially need a new team. And every team will rip them off if they come calling for one of their players. If we relegate them, that would be very, very, very, very funny.
  18. What was all that about?
  19. Thank god this never happened this morning.
  20. If that's how we play from now on then I'll be very happy to have Pellegrino stay. Sort of reminds me of the Leicester home game last season, where Puel was under a little bit of pressure and we turned in a superb display. But we never really kicked on after that. Hopefully we do kick on this time. Ignore the Man City match, but the Bournemouth game will be the big test. Win there and that will set us up very nicely.
  21. Easy peasy in the end. Second half very good in particular. If anyone fancies a laugh, here's the Everton forum matchthread... https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/southampton-vs-everton-26-11-2017-ko-1-30pm-gmt.100604/page-28
  22. Forget about Man City, but this sets us up nicely for Bournemouth
  23. Yoshida coming on, so Pellegrino is parking the bus.
  24. Good to see Lemina back. He was brilliant for us before he got injured.
