We can’t keep the ball at the moment. Need the half time whistle
-
They’re getting closer
-
Marco Silva fanboys are going quiet...
-
They beat a top six side very recently. As Heisenberg will attest, that's the only thing that matters...
-
To be fair though, mass changes were needed after the debacle on Wednesday. I guess we're not expected to get anything from the game so if he's going to do something different, it's better he does it for this one rather than against Huddersfield next Saturday.
-
That must be the most expensive bench we've ever had in our history
-
If it pays off then fair play to him, but I think that team is a mistake.
-
WTF?????????????????
-
Let's hope he's learnt his lesson and doesn't decide to try tricks in his own half. If Bournemouth players can punish him, Chelsea certainly will.
-
Exactly what I was saying all of last season. Slowly, more and more people are beginning to see what the real issue is. (and therefore, Les Reed must also take some of the blame)
-
He hasn't really played much this season. Could be a fitness issue. He took off Mahrez and Vardy so that was obviously a thought to this match, saving Okazaki for future games in a busy schedule.
-
The team he named on Wednesday was the rotated one. I reckon if they get one, they'll go on and equalise. Although they're now down to ten men so maybe not now!
-
Last season we beat the team (Leicester) who finished first in the year before that. You can’t get more top 6 than that.
-
Let's hope Leicester was merely a blip. The performances before that weren't too bad really, we've got to remain positive and hope for the best.
-
On a slightly related note, I remember a chart from last season which showed which teams created chances and compared them to how many were taken by teams. We were one of, if not the most wasteful team. It would be interesting to see it for this season, if one exists.
-
I don't really believe Eric Black has or had that much influence, so shouldn't be criticised IMO, just like Sammy Lee is lauded on here by some. The difference is we were winning more when Sammy Lee was here. Dave Watson's been here throughout both their spells too.
-
Perhaps Hoedt has grown up, apologised and is back in the squad. Doesn't really do us much good for Pellegrino to come out and admit it was for disciplinary reasons. The Mail will claim we're in meltdown again.
-
A few people on twitter said he wasn’t on the bench on Wednesday.
-
Let's not forget - our top scorer was injured for most of the season, and our best player and defender missed half of the season as well. On top of all of the extra games. I said it at the time it was a miracle we got 8th place. Facts will show that it was a disastrous decision to sack him, one that has weakened us and consequently strengthened a rival. People who insist that it was the right decision are either very stupid or don't want to admit that they were wrong.
-
Our players are only able to motivate themselves against bigger teams. It will be a spirited display and an improvement (it can’t get much worse than last night) but we will lose 3-1
-
I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, because Dortmund haven't been that great since Klopp left.
-
I've had debates with James but he certainly isn't a moron. At least his arguments are well-reasoned, unlike quite a few on here.
-
I'd take Bosz. The only concern is he was dreadful at Dortmund. Teams sussed out their weakness, that they played with a suicidal high defensive line, and he failed to fix it. On the other hand, what he achieved at Ajax with a young squad is the model we supposedly want to follow.
-
And as I said, to be a good modern full back, you have to be able to attack. He'd be a centre back if he could only defend. You do understand modern football, right? Compare him to Bertrand, who is far more effective going forward.
