That's a surprise, Delldays coming on a thread, disagreeing with something, trying to get a reaction. I suggest you find a hobby, or a girlfriend, it might give you a new sense of being.

Disagree, yourself is another example of someone whom is not affected by the removal of the installment plan as you don't live in the area, just like Sue Whistle, but instead of simply not commenting on a thread that you have no reason to be opening ( it's a bit like me opening a thread on pubs to drink at in Plymouth, I wouldn't bother opening the thread as it doesn't affect me and is of no interest ) Looking through your posts over the past few days, it seems all you are capable of is telling people they are wrong, regardless of the subject. There is a name for people like yourself, I can't think of the name right now, but whatever it is, it's you. Why not just leave threads alone that do not concern you or affect you? If people such as yourself, Nick and Matthew Le God for example stayed away from this thread it would have been a reasonable debate. Wait... I thought of the word, it's troll. That's you that is. -

Can I ask a question Sue? For someone who according to your location, lives in the Italian Alps, why do you feel so passionately about a withdrawal scheme being removed which has absolutely nothing to do with you? Would it not be better to keep your opinions to yourself rather than trying to act the mother to people you don't know? Just a suggestion, like. -
Without being pedantic, the Yeovil incident went to court AFTER the Portsmouth game had been played.

I agree. There are one or two people, namely Matthew Le God and Nick who should have been told to wind their necks in by the moderators. Although it doesn't affect me, I fully understand why some people might feel very agrieved about having a benefit removed with no warning which has now prevented them from getting a season ticket. I do not understand for one minute why there are people like DellDays, who admits to not having a season ticket nor living in the area, can have such an objection for the people who have suffered wanting a change of heart from the club. These are people just happy to come online and shout the odds... generally people like Nick, Matthew Le God, Dune, Delldays, Wiltshire Saints who have no opinion in the real world, they have nobody who respects their opinion nor listens to them, so the only way they can get anyone to listen to their opinions is logging into a forum and disagreeing with anything that might be deemed controversial and desperately try and shout their opinions louder than anyone else. Nick G's childish obsession with trying to make SRS look foolish is a prime example of this. Nick G, does it really give you satisfaction coming on a forum and having such an obsession with one poster on here? The only person that looks foolish is yourself, you need to get out and speak to some people, join a club, go down the pub, go on a date. You come across as someone with serious personal issues and very childish ( you act 12 but I imagine you are about 40? ) It's a sad state of affairs that people have probably felt inclined not to stick up for the people on this thread who are questioning the club about a blatant disregard towards the supporters. The harsh reality is that the club would have looked on this thread, and others, and because of the very few but determined people determined to disrupt and sabotage, may have got the view that it is only a couple of people who are upset/affected by the removal of the installment plan, which could have played a part in them not to do anything. -
Southampton v Yeovil Charge - Violent Disorder Offence - Stamping on persons head. Sentence - Suspended sentence and 3 year football ban. Southampton v Portsmouth Charge - Violent Disorder Offence - Grabbing a Fence Sentence - 12 months inprisonment, 6 year ban from football. Charge - Violent Disorder Offence - Tossing a plastic chair in the air, hitting nobody. Sentence - 14 months inprisonment. 6 year ban from football. I don't think anyone is saying they don't deserve to be punished... but there is a severe lack of consistancy, which I think is what peoples gripe is. What do you class as more severe? Grabbing a fence or stamping on someones head? I think I know which one I would rather see punished.

I don't think anyone is suggesting they need their asses wiping. If the football club actually wanted to sell season tickets, then they would at least make an effort, of which they seem to be doing the very minimal. I run a business, I would be foolish and naive to think people are going to phone up and ask for my services and I need not do anything, I need to get out in the marketplace and remind my existing customer base that I am here and remind them I have a product for sale, for new customers I need to conduct advertising campaigns etc etc to promote my product. It is basic business common sense, and it does seem that common sense is lacking from alot of the posters on here. I don't think many of the posters who seem to think that SFC should be sitting back waiting for the phone to ring will be appearing on Dragons Den anytime soon.

It was indeed thrown into an area with lots of police. Was there intent to harm or cause injury though? I doubt it, it certainly doesn't seem to have been thrown with force at any specific person, it simply seems to have been tossed over the fence. So on that note, I find 14 months inprisonment for that, harsh to say the least. That's my view, I will leave you to bicker now.

I would like to point out EDL and UAF marches, which clash on an almost weekly basis... with few arrests and convictions, but alot more violent disorder than was seen at the Portsmouth game. Infact only this weekend the UAF were attacking police officers!!! With no arrests, infact the police actually backed off so not to cause any more trouble. If only the Hampshire Constabulary had deployed the same preventative tactics instead of making decisions which increased the likelyhood of disorder tenfold. http://www.thisishampshire.net/uk_national_news/8229635.Police_attacked_at_anti_racist_demo/?ref=mr

I had a look at the video twice now and the plastic chair did not seem to be thrown in the direction of any Portsmouth supporters, infact there were none anywhere near the incident. Also, as you seem to have put incitement in capitals, as far as I am aware, if it was incitement to riot, they would have been charged with this as well, if there was criminal damage caused, they would have been charged with this as well. Police would not just charge someone with Violent Disorder ( which is to cause violence or make threats of violence whilst in a group of 3 or more ) if there was criminal damage caused by the individual or other then make no mistakes, they would have been charged with that offence as well, as they would for incitement to riot if they warranted it, or assault if they actually threw a punch. It seems this chap done no more than toss a plastic chair into an empty road ( not at P*rstmouth fans ) and now he has to serve probably 6 months in prison for his actions. It does seem a little bit OTT. A community order and ban from football would have sufficed.

I never use the travel club. :-() -
I don't understand what you mean there?! I was using the Northam Stand as an example, as in our cheapest tickets will be in the region of £40-£50. And I was also alluding to the fact that many of the people sitting in these seats will be entertaining their business associates in a Bistro in the Oxford Street area pre-match. All I am saying is that many people will be priced out of Premiership football. I will be, although when that time comes I will indeed wangle the expenses and entertain a client at the game along with the others. If you can't beat them, join them!

Correct, he want us to be financially successful as a first priority. This in turn will improve our fortunes on the pitch. Obviously there will be a price to pay for this success, so you can expect our fanbase to change over the next few years as many families and less wealthy individuals are priced out of the game and replaced by people from the corporate market. You can never please everyone though. Some people will love it, some people will hate it.

I think the realisim is that Mr Liebherr is in it for as much money he can make out of it. If this was not the case then there would not be this aggressive stature that the club has adopted with regards to ticketing etc. If the owner genuinely was just here for sh*ts and giggles so to speak, then he would want to see the stadium full each week and would price accordingly. It is clear to myself that the actions of SFC Ltd in the last year suggest that as part of their 5 year plan, Cortese has been targeted to maximise revenue immediately rather than wait for the riches of the Premiership. I suspect Mr Lieberr and Mr Cortese have sat down and worked out how much money is needed to achieve each goal, and what money will be budgeted for transfers etc. Cortese no doubt is on a very lucrative bonus for achieving certain profitability and operational targets, which explains the clubs actions. In short, Liebherr has tasked Cortese to achieve the 5 year plan with as little help from Liebherrs wallet as possible. Obviously if Cortese achieves this then he will be rewarded accordingly. All in my honest opinion of course. I think people shouldn't dream that we are being bankrolled and we have found ourself an Abramovich, although we have the security of not needing financing, I don't believe Liebherr will be out of pocket at any point during the next 5 years, with the exception of the initial purchase and possibly player purchases.

Who inherited the Commonwealth Games stadium, they are a much much bigger club than we will ever be which a much much larger fanbase. They were also averaging 30k in League 1, we are averaging just over 20k. Lastly don't forget Maine Road was falling to bits, SMS is still very new.

Weekday Matches Bank Holiday Matches Other commitments such a holiday/weddings etc Slump in form Unnattractive Opposition TV Games When someone looks at each game they will justify the financial outlay by their individual merits. All of the above types of games are alot harder to attract the walk-up customer. It won't work, even if attendances remain the same, the potential was there for much higher gates.

Another example of the clubs feelings towards the supporter, which unfortunately seem to be no more than a £ sign now. Certainly the Spirit of Southampton seems to have completely dissapeared. Luckily for the club, they seem to have many a supporter, including myself who will allow ourselves to be treated this way, so unfortunately, i have no doubt that it will get worse. If I wanted to know about season tickets at the moment I would have to do the following... Saintsfc.co.uk > Enter site > Tickets > Season Tickets There is absolutely no advertising on the homepage, nor have they conducted any advertising or marketing, nor have they contacted me direct. Ironically I have today recieved an email AND a text message promoting a text service at a premium rate to get the fixtures sent tommorow morning. It seems they have the ability to communicate with the supporters, they just don't want to for whatever reason.

It is different than purchasing an established Premiership club. There is massive returns for getting us to the Premiership. The self-sufficiant that Mr Cortese talks of when speaking of his 5 year plan is one that can run itself without relying on the Sky money and instead on natural turnover, which obviously means increase in ticket revenue, sponsorship and Academy player sales as well as profit for existing professionals. A premiership club with a sensible wage structure can achieve this. Don't confuse buying a League 1 team with Premiership facilities with buying an established Premiership team. It is my opinion that there is a very lucrative return for Mr Liebherr should they achieve their 5 year plan, and this is what they are here for.

To suggest that Southampton could sustain a 55,000 capacity stadium is quite frankly, pie in the sky. We could possibly have the potential for a 40,000 capacity stadium in the Premiership, but certainly no more than this, otherwise the empty seat problems would be even worse than it is now. To progress the club it would be much cheaper to obtain the land opposite from the businesses and redevelop that land with hotels, conferencing facilities and rental property, as well as some retail and increase the capacity to 40,000 and build corporate potential. .

I would imagine we will have Bournemouth on Boxing Day away, and home will be possibly Easter, or during the winter months. The police will have alot of say with regards to when the fixture is played.
