  1. A reminder, courtesy of @SaintsStats on twitter, that on this day in 2003, this happened:
  2. It's been a f*cking big hill.
  3. I don't have a car. I will get the train on occasion but thats not always feasible/affordable on a regular basis, hence wondering what other people do. I couldn't agree more about running in the city, i don't want to do it but don't have much choice.
  4. Quelle surprise. Lol.
  5. Ta, will look at that.
  6. Found this quite interesting actually, my wife and I will be starting a family next year.
  7. Pretty much what I did t'other night - I went up to the civic centre, up London Road, onto the common, past Cowherds and lake, round the top, behind the cemetary, out onto Hill Lane and back down to the Station. It's just so uninteresting though. The common is fine I guess, I was just spoilt by the routes around Winchester.
  8. Or it's just a transfer with a few more complications and negotiations than usual, which normally we don't get to hear about. Chill out.
  9. Quite right. It's a communication tool, a medium just like this forum, and as you use it, you learn which people you trust and have useful information or interesting opinion, and who doesn't. Just like this forum.
  10. This post from the 'Walking to SMS from Portswood': ... has prompted me to ask about any routes that some of you may run in Southampton? I've just moved back down from Winchester which was an excellent place to run with a whole heap of great routes in every direction. Southampton seems rather depressing by contrast, especially starting in the City Centre (right by the station) which is where I'm living now. T'other night I ran up and round the common and back, just over 7k, but I need routes between 8 and 12k to continue my training. So, those of you who do run, where do you go?
  11. That's my belief. It's probably 'done', as in, all agreed, it's just medical and final bits of paper. Or I could be completely and utterly wrong.
  12. Only a small point, and certainly don't want to overplay this, but am just watching the extended highlights of last nights game and wanted to pick out JWP's pass for Billy Sharp's disallowed goal... it is a superb piece of vision, cutting the defence in two. I know it was only Stevenage, and I know it was just one pass, but it gives an indication of his awareness and composure to play such a ball... and in one so young that is very encouraging.
  13. Oh christ, I was just ******ing about. I don't use the word otherwise myself.
  14. Bearing in mind the first two were also dodgily translated by Google, then it's really anyone's guess...
  15. Well all know the real reason we like these celebrations though... we're always hoping that they f*ck it up one day and land on their arse.
  16. I scored a better goal than Punch's in a game against Hull fans at Fleming Park a few years ago. Just sayin'. Both were quality strikes in their own way, and nice to see... we don't see too many goals from distance at Saints these days.

    Song For Mayuka

For some reason, I seem to have Babushka in my head as a potential tune for a song for him... Sorry.
  18. F*ck it, I'm mental too, I have a feeling in my waters it'll happen today too.
  19. Zambia 1-0 Ghana - Scores the only goal of the game late on: [video=youtube_share;-3BJ1jKlcKA]http://youtu.be/-3BJ1jKlcKA
  20. Zambia 2-2 Libya - Scores the first, sets up the second with an overhead kick: [video=youtube_share;JyFG_9faEDM]http://youtu.be/JyFG_9faEDM
  21. His goals from the 2012 African Cup of Nations: Senegal 1-2 Zambia - Scores the first: [video=youtube_share;ovO5qAV50Pk]http://youtu.be/ovO5qAV50Pk
  22. Ah, not heard that yet, ta.
  23. On the BBC article about Mayuka (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19406411) was this line: I must've missed that, and I'd be very surprised if that was the case... anyone shed any light?
  24. According to the BBC live text coverage:
  25. I have no doubt that it did. He is always learning and looking for ways to improve and I for one think we need to back him unequivocally this season as a result.
