  1. He probably will be, soon enough. I would've thought it's fairly obvious why I can't disclose what Koeman said, off-the-record, about someone else's player. When he's our player, I'll explain. By all means keep having digs if you want.
  2. I can't start quoting exactly what Koeman said, off-camera, for a couple of reasons. One, it's being kept under wraps by some of the local media. Two, I don't think it'd go down very well if I outright said what he actually did say to us. But, Vilhena will be a Saints player next season. He wants the deal. Koeman wants the deal. Price should be good, with just one year left. When he's our player, I'll say. Now whether people want to make snide remarks or not is up to them - I'm just passing on what I heard, first person, from Koeman at Staplewood. Take it or leave it.
  3. Supposedly. They say Vilhena flew to Southampton on March the 3rd. I was at Koeman's pre-QPR presser in February, and I am not at all surprised about this, after what was said (by Ronald) when the cameras were turned off. (I guess not many people are TOO surprised, but yeah) https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.feyenoordpings.nl%2Fnieuws%2F15892%2F-vilhena-reisde-af-naar-engeland-en-bereikt-persoonlijk-akkoord-.html&edit-text=&act=url

  5. Looks like it to me...
  6. I'm sure you will.
  7. I am certain that I remember reading something, somewhere reputable, maybe a couple of years ago, that basically said that The FA have the final right over squad selections.
  8. Sorry for the lack of match report on this one - if anyone who actually watched the game fancies doing a guest one, please feel free. I could have scraped one together on the basis of the club's tweets, but hey, they're biased - and I didn't see the game, so don't think I should write about it.
  9. Ryan Bertrand left out, again. Luke Shaw, Leighton Baines and Kieran Gibbs all included.
  10. I'm quite surprised too, but James is one of the FA golden boys and Roy is quite a fan, supposedly.
  11. ...apparently. Talk appearing of a call-up for young James.
  12. £15m is the figure I have repeatedly heard.
  13. It'd be nice if Saints invited him back like they do with memorable figures from the club's past, as guest of the club, chit-chat pre-match pitch side and then have him watch with the directors. Will it happen? No idea - he might be too humble for that.
  14. Quick summary of what was said by NA and the others on 'the Morning view'... - Leicester, QPR and Sunderland to go down - Burnley are battling, Leicester have too much to do, QPR are hit and miss, Sunderland are lacking - Asked about his time at Saints, said he loves the club, the people there and the supporters - Said to get used to seeing Saints challenging for Europe - That's where Saints are going - Everyone from Katharina to the kitman is ready for Saints to become a European club - Players will continue to come and go - But, Southampton are built on the firmest of firm foundations - They will just march on - City can still win the title - It's all about desire - They need to play their own game, control the controllables - That will put the pressure back on Chelsea - If Chelsea can handle it, then they win the title - If not, then City need to take their opportunity - Can Saints make top four this season? Yes. - The teams around Southampton are all playing each other soon - Saints need to hold their nerve, hopefully they do it

  16. Dušan Tadić has scored three times on the road this season for Southampton: Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea.
  17. Showed them just why we have the best defence in the league - well done, Saints. REPORT: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/content.php?592-MATCH-REPORT-Chelsea-1-1-SAINTS-Barclays-Premier-League Fire away...

  19. José Mourinho was asked about being mocked and people laughing at Chelsea's elimination today. I have posted his reply below. Mourinho: "Envy is the biggest tribute the shadows can give to the man."
  20. Seattle - (Seahawks and Sounders) play in green and blue...
  21. In other news, German newspaper Bild are reporting that we are set to make his loan deal a permanent switch - and our option to buy (for approx. £4m) runs until May. Other Premier League clubs are ready to move in, if we choose not to sign him. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bild.de%2Fsport%2Ffussball%2Feljero-elia%2Fbremen-online-artikel-40102400.bild.html&edit-text= - For £4m, I'd definitely make him part of the squad.
