I feel sick. Sick at this story, and sick that someone like Saintandy666 will come along and try to justify the difference.

Rubbish. Qatada's case is providing a route-map for how such people can avoid being deported in future. We need a game-changer. The UK needs to tear up the Human Rights Act. I couldnt give a shiny one what the rest of the world thinks about the UK for doing this, our historical credentials for standing up to tyranny, bullies and opressive regimes speak for themselves. We dont need barely-qualified idiot judges from nations that have been either invaded and/or oppressed telling us what is just or not.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2232291/Man-body-held-BLANKET-hit-15-tonne-lorry-makes-miraculous-recovery.html Fantastic, dedicated people, performing miracles when given the opportunity and the resources to do so. Why cant it always be like this ? People in need getting the treatment and care they need in time ? My 18 year old niece has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition; she's got to wait 2 months for her next appointment (by which time she could be dead) and its in Winchester, because the waiting list in Soton is 5 months.

And each one of those you saw was deliberately attempting to stand out against what background, exactly ? 10 Sunderland players wore the poppy, and one decided not to. He decided to stand out against his team mates. He was drawing attention to himself and being provocative.
-
Oh, come on. Why else did McClean do it ? He's got exactly the reaction he wanted, just like with his Twitter activity.
-
Right, how about this one. Sunderlands "company policy" towards Armistice Day / Remembrance Sunday was for its staff to wear a poppy. If I breach my company policy, I get fired.
-
Right, so where does the "right to choose" end ? Did that tw*t dressed in a pink tutu on a skateboard have the "right to choose" to disrupt Bristols Remembrance service ? Did that bellend on Facebook have the "right to choose" to burn a poppy in such a public act of provocation ? Public order offences relate to the prohibition of any act which may cause such a provocation that a breach of the peace occurs. Are the Orange Order still allow to march their traditional routes in Belfast ? Its a load of hypocritical sh*t. In Britain 2012 you are allowed to provoke a reaction as long as your act is against the state, or against the majority community in the state. But do anything against a minority interest, and the full force of the law and state come down on you.

You beat me to it. I wasnt aware that Marie Curie Cancer Care has a day of NATIONAL remembrance.

How do you know if someone shares the sentiment if they dont have the symbol on display. And if someone refuses the symbol, most people would think they are saying "f**k you" to the sentiment, and rightly so. Really, I wonder about your thought processes sometimes.

Wouldnt want that trouble-maker within a million miles of SMS. OK, I know Manchester is only 250miles away..

I think to say I am "writing them off" is a bit strong, and there are always exceptions to the rule.
-
If the U-21 players are good enough they go straight into the first team squad, imo. Especially a first team playing as badly as ours. Personally, I think with the exception of GKs and central defence, you can tell by U-21 if a player has the potential to make it big, in most cases. The only role I see for U-21 football is to develop a few "team" players - players that make a contribution to the team performance by being solid and support, but are never going to set the world alight. These players can develop a bit later.

Rip his hand off. Those CBs could save us and give us a share of the new PL pot. That would more than cover a new Ramirez and a couple of younger defenders now with time to learn their trade because of the older CBs just acquired. And leave plenty to spare.
-
Couldnt give a sh*t what you think of my credibility. Thats where we are at. Sorry if the truth is painful. There is no MLT, AOC or Bale on the edge of a breakthrough. The likes of Ryan Giggs and Michael Owen didnt even bother with U-21...
-
For me there is only one pertinent question : If he despises the Union so much, that he had to close his Twitter account for posting abusive sectarian sh*t, and will not acknowledge the sacrifice of British AND IRISH citizens dying to make the world a better place along side the rest of his team, then why the f**k is he plying his trade and earning his living in Britain ? Why doesnt he f**k off to France or Germany or Holland ? Because he is typical British moron who cant be bothered or is incapable of learning another language and integrating with the culture of others. And I bet he thinks Unionist Brits are intolerant. He's a bellend, and he looks like one too.
-
I reckon it should be arranged for him to fall down the stairs and break his f**king neck when leaving his cell to be released.
-
And what does this result tell us ? That our U-21s are as crap as the full team, and that no-one is champing at the bit ready to set our team, let alone the PL, on fire.
-
This. If he tries to re-enter the country, do it again and again. Dont wait for any more appeals to complete, just DO IT. All the courts can do is shout at the Home Office.

I would, even though I despise the Republican movement and its actions with all my being. I wouldnt want to alienate myself from my community. When in Rome, and all that... On the other hand, I wouldnt be stupid enough to find myself working in Londonderry anyway. My family and I have taken place in the October 10th celebrations here. I dont really understand the significance of it, but we thought it was important to integrate.
-
I note you've ignored the key point of my post.
-
According to the report about this incident I read, McClean apparently had to close his Twitter account for while for posting sectarian sh*t abusing people in Ulster. Why cant some of you liberal hand-wringers look past your lofty principles and accept that McClean is a Grade-A front-bottom ??
-
Yep. He's exercising his right to be the big Republican hero whilst talking Union money, we are exercising our right to call him a c**t and a hypocrite.
-
LOL at those jumping on me for calling Manuel the same name as others like VFTT had done previously, but with utter silence in their direction. I am fed up with the double standards of certain Irish people. I remember being in the common room of my halls of residence in Manchester back in 1987, listening to a group of Irish Republican students From Ulster bad-mouthing everything and anything about Britain. Yet they chose to study in Manchester. Utter hypocrisy, just like Mr. McClean. Yes, our dead servicemen dies to protect freedom of speech, but the way sections of society have taken their sacrifice for granted and abused it is disgraceful. Anyway, from what was mentioned on here, it seems his own clubs fans have taken a pretty dim view of this, I am happy for them to deal with it and express their "approval" for the player next time he plays.
-
Yep, its more or less unanimous. You're a c*nt.
