  1. Bit hard on the youngsters. I am assuming playing for England is still an honour at that age. Seems the clubs start devaluing the mystque of playing for your country at an ever younger age. As if any of the 3 are going to play a major part in the next couple of games.
  2. Well, you are entitled to your opinion, of course. IMO your post and your quote glibly and superficially, almost disssmissively, deal with the issues facing NA and the team. Your summary of the WBA game is utterly bizarre.
  3. B*ll*cks. what a load of b*ll*cks. Stop clutching to this "special relationship" crap, Britain. Watch Obama turn round in the next couple of weeks and slap us down on any from a multitude of issues; from Gary McKinnon to the Falklands.
  4. Thats fine, just so long as he completely understands hes all alone in carrying the can if it goes tits-up.
  5. And I enjoyed yours too. In terms of "pap gets abusive in response to his post been found out to be complete b*ll*cks", its in the top, erm, one.
  6. Have u forgotten the England manager, and bloke who picks the team, is Roy Hodgson ? I bet he's right p*ssed off that the rule change he requested from FIFA, that would allow him to pick the whole Liverpool squad irrespective of nationality, didnt come through in time..
  7. Why exactly is this offensive, when the Spurs fans sing it about themselves ? The hissing, on the other hand...... I hope none of our fans did that a couple of weeks ago.
  8. Yep, just said more or less the same on the "continuing" thread. His big challenege now is to raise the spirits of the players, of course.
  9. Its not. They are all sh*t - together.
  10. I'm guessing that yesterday there was a frank exchange of views between NA and NC. I wonder if Reed was present too. My guess is NC gave NA sh*t for our poor start, NA reminded NC that the signings were heavily influenced by NCs vision of how he wants us to play, and that we are being forced to play with a formation and tactics that we dont really have the players for. I am further guessing that the conclusion/stand-off reached was something along the lines of NC saying "OK, NA, for now, do it the way you think is best and get the results you think you and the team are capable of. But at some point I want us playing the way I envisage. If you cannot stabilise the situation now, doing things your way, you are out. We will review this in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I want to know if you are committed to implementing my vision over time. If not, get out of my office and my stadium now". OK, I have a vivid imagination, but lets see what the team looks like and behaves on Saturday before sneering at it. If these two have an ounce of brains between their ears, the priority has to be get a few points behind us any way we can.
  11. Nevertheless, this "intervention" is all about projecting Chinese economic power. Its not about taxation and strangling activity with bureaucratic red tape, like it is in the West.
  12. RMLAFO. You quote something, and it still doesnt refer to Hispanics. Deffo a pot, black, kettle moment there...
  13. Looking at the games we play this month, if NA gets it wrong we are so f**king down. NC has taken a colossal risk.
  14. Depends what you mean by state intervention, I suppose. The Chinese government isnt exactly intervening about workers conditions at that massive factory turning out iPhones. Whereas imo most Chinese who are involved in important R & D projects in Western universities and companies probably have some contact with the Chinese government. Is that state intervention too ? They dont seem to care about the concept of intellectual property over there.
  15. Oh, grow up. If you want a discussion, fine, otherwise go and shout abuse at a mirror.
  16. Who pointed the finger at Hispanics ? If the UK is anything to go by, the worst culprits are white trailer-trash.
  17. Saint in Paradise, you are spot on and I for one immediately thought of the UK (not England, because the Scottish are by far the culprits in the UK for living off state handouts). The bottom line is, whilst the likes of China and India power ahead, realising still what we knew over 100 years ago, and the US over 60 years ago - that propserity for all is built upon enterrpise, blood, sweat and minimal state intervention - both of our once-great nations have slumped into an entitlement culture that is gradually bankrupting us. Just like the British Empire declined, the US economic empire is in decline, and this election may have been the last chance to stem the tide over there.
  18. Deary me. Touched a nerve, have I ?
  19. Dont apologise, would be a dull world if we agreed on everything.
  20. What else are politicians there for ? You're really funny. You have this strange habit of trying to make sarcastic comments that are actually correct.
  21. Churchill and Olivier with two f**k-off glass screens in front of them, you mean....
  22. The Joiners is a major cultural venue in the city. The Council should step in and help.
  23. I am appalled at this unravelling saga. As more and more and MORE accusations are made, the question to be asked is why no-one made a complaint and no charges were brought. He was a f**king DJ, FFS, not heir-to-the-throne (no accusation against the PoW intended, I just could not think of a better example of someone almost "untouchable" in our society) The whole of British society feels tainted. And I feel sick at the thought that there are children out there now suffering through such blind eye-turning.
  24. Indeed, I am quite surprised by quite how Trotskyite-leaning TSW is.
